“They told me I would be paid a lot of money,” says Pakistani child suicide bomber

VOA NEWS Ali’s recruiters then showed him the American base in Spin Boldak where they wanted him to attack using a suicide vest. “They said when you do the suicide attack, you will go to heaven, even if you kill just one American in this attack. I said that I would be killed too, but they told me that my soul will be in peace,” he said.
Ali lost both of his parents when he was younger. He and his younger brother were living in their uncle’s home in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province. Three months ago, he ran away. “I met three people near the border and asked them to give me a job. They asked to me to come with them, when I went they grabbed me and put something over my eyes so I could not see and tied my hands and legs,” he recalled. “They took me to a training center where I trained for 20 days.” Ali says he knew what would happen if he detonated the vest and was thinking of ways to escape. But before he could carry out his mission, suspicious residents turned him in to security forces.

Over the past year Kandahar officials say insurgents have chosen to fight fewer face-to-face battles with troops. Instead, they say militants favor suicide attacks and are increasingly relying on children to carry them out.
“Using children is a new enemy tactic. Children are given 50 to 100 Afghanis to carry things. They don’t know what they’re carrying and the control to detonate the bomb is with someone else. When the kids reach the tanks or police vehicles, the enemies blow them up. Many kids are told they will survive,” General Abdul Raziq is Kandahar’s acting police chief stated. “Children cannot judge, and the older ones no longer want to do it.”
The Afghan Taliban, the main militant group in the province, insists it never uses children for insurgent activity. A Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, says the practice goes against Islam. (Isn’t this the same Afghan Taliban whose leader, Mulla Omar, has just been removed from Barack Obama’s terrorist list?)

Wasn’t it just last year that Mayor Dhimmi Bloomberg was the Muslim community’s favorite cheerleader as he spit on New Yorkers by championing the Islamic Victory Mosque at Ground Zero? Now, apparently, Muslim leaders won’t even have breakfast with him.
CBS LOCAL More than a dozen Muslim clerics and community figures skipped Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s annual interfaith breakfast which is aimed at bringing people together.
In a letter to the mayor, the group said the rights of Muslims are being “flagrantly violated ” and have boycotted the event to protest what they see as excessive and illegal surveillance of Muslims by the NYPD.
While the leaders praise Bloomberg for his defense of the Islamic cultural center located near the World Trade Center site, they take issue with the NYPD sending undercover officers into mosques, Muslim neighborhoods and groups in an effort to thwart terror plots. The practice was disclosed as part of an Associated Press investigation.

AFGHANISTAN: Child bride imprisoned in toilet and mutilated by in-laws for refusing to work as a prostitute

Locked in the toilet for five months, the teenage wife was tortured and burned with cigarettes, nearly starved, and had her nails and hair pulled out by her husband’s family.
UK DAILY MAIL Sahar Gul, 15, was in critical condition when she was rescued from a house in northern Baghlan province last week, after her neighbours reported hearing Miss Gul crying and moaning in pain. According to police in Baghlan, her in-laws pulled out her nails and hair, and locked her in a dark basement bathroom for about five months, with barely enough food and water to survive. Her husband’s family also burned the teenager with cigarettes and cut out chunks of her flesh with pliers.
Despite being barely able to speak, Miss Gul managed to tell media about the terrifying ordeal. ’For several months I was locked up in toilet by my in-laws and particularly my mother-in-law,’ she said. ’I was denied food and water. I was tortured and beaten.’ Doctors say the youngster has suffered both mentally and physically and will need weeks of treatment in order to recover.
‘She was married seven months ago, and was originally from Badakhshan province. Her in-laws tried to force her into prostitution to earn money,‘ Rahima Zarifi, head of women’s affairs in Baghlan told Reuters.
Miss Gul is covered in scars and bruises, with one eye still swollen shut six days after her rescue. She is being treated in a government hospital in Kabul, but she may have to be sent to India, doctors said. ‘This is one of the worst cases of violence against Afghan women. The perpetrators must be punished so others learn a lesson,’ health minister Suraya Dalil told journalists after visiting Miss Gul today with the women’s affairs minister.
Mohammad Zia, a senior police official in Baghlan, who helped to rescue the girl, said Miss Gul’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law have been detained, but her husband and father-in-law had escaped. ’We have launched a serious hunt to get her husband and the others involved,‘ Mr Zia said.
Despite progress in women’s rights and freedom since the fall of the Taliban 10 years ago, women throughout the country are still at risk of abduction, rape, forced marriage and being traded as commodity.
However it can be hard for women to escape violent situations at home, because of huge social and sometimes legal pressure to stay in marriages. Running away from an abusive husband or a forced marriage are considered ‘moral crimes,’ for which women are currently imprisoned in Afghanistan.
Some rape victims have also been imprisoned, because sex outside marriage, even when the woman is forced, is considered adultery, another ‘moral crime.’

Of course, the PC police would never allow the ethnicity of the ‘rowdy youths’ to be revealed, but Middlesbrough Council has a large population of Muslims and a crime rate nearly twice the UK average.
Crime Stats Based on the police recorded crime reports, Middlesbrough ranks at number 364 out of the 373 CDRPs (Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships). The higher the rank, the worse the level of crime.

Middlesbrough Council, in northeastern England, said Wednesday it had spread the dung over a stretch of land in Coulby Newham after residents complained of gangs of young people gathering to drink and take drugs.
Officials said they adopted the unusual tactic after a search uncovered drug-related paraphernalia hidden in the woodland. The policy has led to a sharp decline in crime in the area.

YNET NEWS Saudi authorities are investigating how Israeli pencils reached one of the kingdom’s biggest retail chains. The Kravitz chain, which markets the pencils in Israel, was surprised to hear about the affair stirring up the Gulf kingdom.
It turns out that Abu Rialin, a Saudi chain which offers all of its items for two riyals, is selling one of Kravitz’s most popular products – a set of 12 pencils with an eraser.
The pencils are sold with the Kravitz logo in Hebrew and without any attempt to conceal the fact that they are made in Israel.
Kravitz learned about the incident following a report published by Saudi website Jazan. The reporter noted that Kravitz was the biggest manufacturer of office supplies in Israel and asked how the Saudi Ministry of Commerce could overlook such a thing.
“Where are the Saudi kingdom’s supervision authorities?” the reporter asks, calling for an investigation into the apparent marketing of an Israeli product in Saudi Arabia. While in Israel the pencils are sold for $1.30, in Saudi Arabia they cost only 53 cents.(Is this called musliming it down?)
“I really don’t understand it, because they leave the factory with that price,” says Kravitz CEO Menashe Zilka. “We haven’t had any break-ins and I checked with our distributors. No one has heard anything, no one knows anything.”
Kravitz is also finding it difficult to explain how its pencils showed up in Saudi Arabia. One of the assumptions is that an entrepreneur or salesperson unlinked to the company bought a stock of pencils and managed to reach the Saudi chain.
“We don’t export. All the items we manufacture are distributed in the local market, so I don’t understand how they reached an Arab country,” says Zilka.

As Egypt’s new fundamentalist Islamic rulers threaten to destroy the Sphinx and the pyramids, other evidence of Egypt’s history is also at risk with the burning of the Egyptian Institute and its precious books and manuscripts that are the heritage of all human civilization.
Israel Today (Frederic F) On December 17, an Egyptian mob, presumably of the type that has been voting for the Muslim Brotherhood, demonstrated that they have no intention of “modernizing” or adopting Western-style pragmatism when they torched the Institute of Egypt in Cairo. The scientific institute played an important role in disseminating knowledge about Egyptian hieroglyphic texts after they had been deciphered in the early 19th century.
The Institute’s director, Mohammad al-Sharnoubi, wept over the destruction of this precious heritage while Army soldiers allegedly stood idly by, poking fun at him.
Any number of political analysts have tried to write off the electoral gains by Islamist parties in Egypt, insisting that once in power, groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafist al-Nour Party will take a pragmatic approach to governing.

The Institute of Egypt symbolized Egypt’s connection to the West, and for many its establishment was the start of the “modern era” in Egypt. And that is why it had to go. Because Egypt’s Islamists have no intention of modernizing, not on Western terms, at any rate. Like the Ayatollahs in Iran and Hamas in Gaza, their ultimate goal is to return Egypt to a medieval form of life where a strict interpretation of Sharia Law governs the actions of all.

The first to suffer will be Egypt’s Christians. They are suffering already.
But most of this is being ignored by an international community determined to paint the “Arab Spring” as a positive phenomenon. It is certainly a positive thing to throw off the yoke of a repressive dictatorship. But it is a negative thing to replace that repressive dictatorship with oppressive theocratic rule.
That the world is championing this change in Egypt when just 30 years ago the same scenario played out in Iran with devastating results just goes to show that mankind is doomed to never learn from his mistakes.

Escalating Muslim violence could soon eradicate Christianity from the Middle East

There are new warnings that Christianity could possibly be wiped out of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt because of severe and persistent persecution against Christians. Apparently, the only place in the Middle East where Christians are safe is the state of Israel.
FOX According to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, in 2003, there were 800,000 to 1.4 million Christians in Iraq. Today, there are only an estimated 500,000 Christians.
Leonard Leo, of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, says that there’s a serious increase in the amount of violence, at the hands of both governments and individuals, that’s been perpetrated against Christians in the region. Of the possibility that Christianity may be eradicated in the region, Leo said, “First of all, Christianity has always been a very important part of the fabric of Middle Eastern and North African society, and for those populations to now be dwindling or leaving, has a very serious impact on the stability, security and prosperity of countries in the Middle East and in north and sub-Saharan Africa.”

'Disobedient' Daughter Nona Yazdanpanah
Truth be told, I quickly discounted my initial reaction that Muslims might be involved because the killer was reported to be in a Santa costume. Stupid me. The ‘Santa’ who massacred his family on Christmas morning was a Muslim who was enraged that his daughter was dating a non-Muslim.
As usual, the media ignored the obvious honor-killing elements of this massacre. Aziz Yazdanpanah had lost control of his family. His wife had left him. His daughter was dating a non-Muslim. And he killed them all. Just as the Ft. Hood Jihadist Massacre was labeled “Workplace Violence,” the Obama-subservient media are trying to pass off this mass honor killing as “Holiday Blues.”

Citing public records and interviews with friends and neighbors, media reports identified Aziz Yazdanpanah and others who had died: his estranged 55-year-old wife, Fatemeh Rahmati, their 19-year-old daughter, Nona Narges Yazdanpanah, and 15-year-old son, Ali Yazdanpanah. Friends of the family said Fatemeh Rahmati’s 58-year-old sister, Zohreh Rahmaty, and her husband, Hossein Zarei, 59, and daughter Sahra Zarei, a 22-year-old pre-med student at the University of Texas at Arlington, also were killed.
Aziz Yazdanpanah seemed to be losing control of his life in recent months — his wife left him, his house was in foreclosure, and his 19-year-old daughter was dating a young man he didn’t like.
Yazdanpanah, a volunteer high school debate coach described as a doting father, is the focus of suspicion a day after a Christmas morning massacre in which a man dressed as Santa Claus killed six relatives and then committed suicide.

Grapevine police arrived at the Lincoln Vineyard Apartment Homes a few minutes before noon and discovered bodies sprawled among opened presents and wrapping paper. The victims were ages 15 to 58. . . .
Yazdanpanah said he bought a gun after expressing concern that his daughter’s boyfriend was stalking him. He also insisted on picking up his daughter from her job at a phone kiosk inside Sam’s Club in Grapevine because of concerns about the alleged stalker. The boyfriend has not been publicly identified.

Neighbors said the family was Muslim but had always hung Christmas lights on their home — except this year. . . .
But a more ominous portrait emerged of Yazdanpanah in interviews with some of his daughter’s other classmates.
“She would come to school crying and telling us her dad was crazy,” said Lacie Reed, 18. “He wouldn’t let her wear certain things. He was always taking her phone away, checking her call history and checking her text messages.”

Friends said Nona’s father had installed cameras all around the home so he could watch the family’s comings and goings. Others said he nailed her bedroom window shut so she could not sneak out at night and see her boyfriend.

“She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion,” Reed said. “He would take her phone away and her mother would give it back to her and her brother would let her use his phone,” Alvarenga said. “She was doing good. She was just excited that her life was going to start and she was going to have control of it.” . . .
