Winds of a new Middle East War?
Posted: August 31, 2011 Filed under: Islam and the Jews Leave a comment »Israel sent two more warships to the Red Sea border with Egypt, the military said Tuesday, as part of a military reinforcement there following warnings that militants are planning another attack on southern Israel from Egyptian soil. This comes as Tehran has decided to send the 15th fleet to the Red Sea.
FOX NEWS -Earlier this week, Israel’s military ordered more troops to the border area following intelligence reports of an impending attack, days after militants crossed into Israel through the Egyptian border and killed eight Israelis in a brazen attack that touched off a wave of violence between Israel and militants in the Gaza Strip.
Relative calm has returned, but Israel has remained on alert since the deadly Aug. 18 raid, closing roads near the border and warning citizens against traveling to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, a popular vacation destination for Israelis. Israel’s Home Front Minister Matan Vilnai said Tuesday that militants from the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad were in Sinai, waiting to strike.
“The Palestinian Islamic Jihad wants to carry out a terror attack along the Egyptian border,” Vilnai told reporters. “The Egyptian border is absolutely porous. We have known this for many years.” Beyond announcing that two more warships were patrolling the border area, the military would give no further details.
Israel has a permanent naval presence with a base in Eilat, at the northern tip of the Red Sea on the Egyptian border. The Israeli military would not disclose the number of warships usually positioned on its maritime border with Egypt or from where the two extra ships were sent.
No changes in security alignments have been observed on the Egyptian side of the border in the last two weeks. Earlier this month, the Egyptian government dispatched thousands of additional troops to Sinai as part of a major operation against al-Qaida inspired militants who have been increasingly active since longtime Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak was toppled in February.

Left Wing Loons try to disrupt ACT! FOR AMERICA rally for Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields suspended for his refusal to attend a mosque service
Posted: August 31, 2011 Filed under: Islam in America Leave a comment »
Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in downtown Tulsa – upset about action taken against Tulsa Police Captain, Paul Fields, who was suspended for two weeks in June for refusing an order to send his officers to a law enforcement appreciation day at a local mosque.
Paul Fields disobeyed an order to send officers to a law enforcement appreciation event at the Al Salam Mosque in Tulsa. For that infraction, Fields was suspended for two weeks.
Tuesday’s rally was organized by the group Act! for America. Guy Rodgers is the organization’s Executive Director. He has a message
for Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett and Police Chief Chuck Jordan: “Before you lose in court do the right thing now and show the people of Tulsa that you’re listening to them.”
Rodgers argued “This is all about respect for the constitution, respect for the rule of law, and it’s about respect for the rights of a law enforcement officer who was given an unlawful order.”
Those attending a counter-rally would probably beg to differ. Said one woman wearing a Say No to Hate t-shirt: “I think it’s amazing that so many Oklahomans that purport that they are Christians, have such hate in their hearts.” Mana Tahaie is Director of Racial Justice at the YWCA and a member of Tulsa’s Say No to Hate Coalition: “We know that Act for America is very strategic about using opportunities in communities to gin up Islamophobia.”
Last winter Fields was told by his superiors to send some of his officers to an open house at the mosque. He responded by saying he felt the order was unlawful and was against his personal religious beliefs.
After the rally, Rodgers delivered the ACT! for America petition, signed by over 53,000 people, to Mayor Dewey Bartlett. Rodgers’ message at the rally was straightforward: Captain Fields was given an unlawful order to attend a “Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” that included observing the local mosque’s Friday prayers and attending a class in Islamic doctrines—an order that violated his constitutional rights.

Clare Lopez, former CIA agent and Counterintelligence expert warns, “Aimed at co-opting Americas foreign policy in the Middle East, a network including well-known American diplomats, congressional representatives, figures from academia and the think tank world – with ties to the clerical regime in Tehran – is directing the Obama Administration’s policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Middle East.”
Ms. Lopez writes: “It’s not that unusual to hear hostile remarks directed at the United States from the Iranian regime — but lately, it’s been getting not only personal but frankly contemptuous. Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki recently let it be known that “we do not take [U.S. Secretary of State] Mrs. Clinton seriously.” Hostility is normal between mortal enemies. Contempt means they think we’re so weak, we don’t even rate the effort hostility would take.

US President Barack Obama on Tuesday marked the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the end of the holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan by renewing his support for the “Arab Spring” movement against repressive regimes.
AFP “This year, many have observed the month while courageously persevering in their efforts to secure basic necessities and fundamental freedoms,” he said in a statement released during a one-day trip to Minneapolis.
“The United States will continue to stand with them and for the dignity and rights of all people, whether a hungry child in the Horn of Africa or a young person demanding freedom in the Middle East and North Africa,” he said.
His comments came in a statement to Muslims in the United States and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the three-day feast at the end of Ramadan.
“As Ramadan comes to an end, we send our best wishes for a blessed holiday to Muslim communities around the world. Eid Mubarak,” he said.

PEW REPORT ON MUSLIMS: The Left Wing Media spin vs the real numbers
Posted: August 31, 2011 Filed under: Islam in America Leave a comment »
OH, BOO HOO! Muslim Americans have had a difficult time in the United States since 9/11. A Pew Research Center study shows that more than half say that government anti-terrorism policies single them out for increased surveillance and monitoring. The survey of 1,033 Muslim Americans also noted increases in threats, name-calling and difficulty with airport security.
VOICES Muslims I know say that while DWB, or driving while black, is an unfortunate reality in America, they face FWM, or flying while Muslim. (They are lucky we allow them to fly on our planes at all)
The Pew study said: “A quarter of Muslim Americans (25 percent) report that mosques or Islamic centers in their communities have been the target of controversy or outright hostility. While 14 percent (ONLY 14%?) report that there has been opposition to the building of a mosque or Islamic center in their community in the past few years, 15 percent say that a mosque or Islamic center in their community has been the target of vandalism or other hostile acts in the past 12 months.” (ONLY 15%? Synagogues have higher numbers of vandalism)
The Pew center report, however, did offer some positives. “There also is no evidence of rising support for Islamic extremism among Muslim Americans,” it said. (That’s right, it’s as high as it ever was)
In addition: “Muslim Americans have not become disillusioned with the country. They are overwhelmingly satisfied with the way things are going in their lives (82 percent) and continue to rate their communities very positively as places to live (79 percent excellent or good). (That is too bad. We must make it less satisfying for muslims to live here)
“At a personal level, most think that ordinary Americans are friendly (48 percent) or neutral (32 percent) toward Muslim Americans; relatively few (16 percent) believe the general public is unfriendly toward Muslim Americans. (Again, we must increase those numbers) About two-thirds (66 percent) say that the quality of life for Muslims in the U.S. is better than in most Muslim countries. (Yet they keep trying to turn this country into an Islamic hellhole like the ones they left)
“Strikingly, Muslim Americans are far more satisfied with the way things are going in the country (56 percent) than is the general public (23 percent). (That’s only because we have a Muslim in the White House) Four years ago, Muslim Americans and the public rendered fairly similar judgments about the state of the nation (38 percent of Muslims vs. 32 percent of the general public were satisfied).” (Time to get an anti-Islam Republican like Allen West in the White House)
The left wing media is hyping the latest Pew Research Center survey on Muslims in America showing that Muslims in America are “mainstream,” “moderate,” and “middle class,” just like real Americans. But. in fact, they are in fact every bit as radical as their Middle East counterparts.
Pew Research has a left wing agenda and its results attempt to make muslims into something they are not – mainstream and moderate. But the numbers don’t lie. The headline on the report is MUSLIM AMERICANS: NO SIGNS OF GROWTH IN ALIENATION OR SUPPORT FOR EXTREMISM (But no signs of a decrease either)
35% are NOT AT ALL concerned about the rise of Islamic extremism in the US
21% of American Muslims support extremism in the US
34% think Muslim leaders have done more than enough to speak out against extremism
41% think US efforts to combat terrorism are not sincere
68% think Muslims are cooperating as much as they should with law enforcement
55% think being a Muslim in America is more difficult since 9/11
28% say people have acted suspicious of Muslims
22% say they have been called offensive names
21% (Only 21%?) have been singled out by airport security
13% (Only 13%?)have been singled out by law enforcement
6% have been threatened or attacked
37% (THAT many?) say someone has expressed support for muslims
60% of U.S. Muslim women wear bags on their heads all or some of the time
81% think the Ground Zero Victory Mosque should be built near Ground Zero
65% think media coverage of Muslims is unfair
68% don’t believe that Israel and Palestinian ‘rights’ can co-exist
31% of U.S. Muslims said there is conflict with being a devout Muslim and living in a modern society.
* 19% of U.S. Muslims Say that suicide bombings and other forms of violence against civilians are justified: In 2011, 31% of Muslims aged 18-29 said suicide bombings are okay.
* 30% of U.S. Muslims Support Al-Qaeda: Despite the claims of CAIR and many Muslim leaders, 30% view Al-Qaeda favorably. 25% of foreign-born U.S. Muslims say they have a favorable opinion of al Qaeda, compared with 48% of all native-born Muslims and 44% of native-born African American Muslims.
* Half of all U.S. Muslims Are Muslim First: 49% of American Muslims consider themselves Muslims first and only 26% consider themselves Americans first. 67% who come to the U.S. DO NOT want to adopt American customs or assimilate. 51% want to be distinct from American society. 77% of US Muslims close friends are Muslims.
* Most Muslims like the Nanny State government with lots of handouts: 68% prefer bigger government with more free services. No surprise here, 70% consider themselves Democrats. 64% see Barack Hussein Obama and 46% see Democrats as very friendly toward Muslims. Only 15% see Republicans as friendly to Muslims (15% – that many?)
* Muslims Are NOT big Contributors to American Society: Mmost Muslims in America are not big contributors of jobs and other benefits to American society. They are takers. Only 22% of U.S. Muslims make $75,000 or more per year (down from 26% in 2007), below the U.S. total population average of 28%. 45% (up from 35% in 2007) of Muslims make less than $30,000 per year, whereas only 36% of the general population is at that salary level. 40% of U.S. Muslims are unemployed and 18% are only employed part-time.
Obama Regime’s 9/11 Anniversary Guidelines warn government officials to avoid any references to Al-Qaeda
Posted: August 31, 2011 Filed under: EnemyWithin-American Leave a comment »Should we avoid all references to Obama’s fellow Muslims, too? This regime is a disgrace to America.
The Blaze The White House has provided guidelines to government officials regarding how to observe and discuss the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.(Since the Muslim-in-Chief can’t avoid the anniversary altogether, he will make it as unimportant as he can)

These instructions include information about how to honor the lives lost here in America. Additionally, they call for remembrance of the fact that Al Qaeda and other terror groups have also killed innocent individuals in other localities across the globe. Politico has more:
The guidelines detail what the White House has deemed the important themes that must be discussed, as well as the tone the 9/11 observances should take. “A chief goal of our communications is to present a positive, forward-looking narrative,” the foreign guidelines state.
These goals and ideals may be viewed as something more sinister by President Obama’s political opponents. The Atlantic writes:
Though rebuilding support for the U.S. abroad is a worthy goal, it seems like these guidelines will fit in neatly with a popular meme on the right, that President Obama goes around the world and apologizes for how awesome America is. “Obama’s apology tour” has been debunked by The Washington Post and other places, but several Republican presidential candidates have made references to Obama’s supposed tendency to play down American specialness abroad. That events commemorating 9/11 will be “not just about us” seems likely to fit into that theme.
The guidelines came in two sections, each aimed at a very different audience. One, which was sent to American embassies and consulates across the globe, is intended to assist overseas allies and foreign citizens. In this document, the guidelines call for agencies to focus upon the global battle against terrorism. The text reads:
“As we commemorate the citizens of over 90 countries who perished in the 9/11 attacks, we honor all victims of terrorism, in every nation around the world. We honor and celebrate the resilience of individuals, families, and communities on every continent, whether in New York or Nairobi, Bali or Belfast, Mumbai or Manila, or Lahore or London.” (This is about 9/11 and Americans. Period)

Interestingly, the foreign document states that officials should “minimize references to Al Qaeda.” Within the text, Osama bin Laden’s death is the reason given for this request. In what could be interpreted as somewhat of a political call to arms, the guidelines tell officials to place emphasis on the fact that “Al Qaeda and its adherents have become increasingly irrelevant.” (As al-Qaeda in the Arabian peninsula grows ever stronger)
Additionally, foreign leaders are encouraged to highlight the notion that Al Qaeda played no major roll in the Arab Spring. (LIARS! al Qaeda is taking over in Libya as we speak) Further expounding upon this ideal, foreign commemoration ceremonies should focus on the idea that Al Qaeda “represents the past” and that peaceful Arab protests “represent the future.” (Peaceful? CRAP) Clearly, there is a balance here that is intended to bring Arabs on America’s side, rather than being divisive in addressing the issues surrounding the attacks. (Arabs ARE the enemy and always will be)

The second document, which was sent to federal agencies, is intended for individuals here in America. The guidelines presented within emphasize the need for national service in remembrance of the attacks, while highlighting what the U.S. government has done to prevent another major terror event from taking pace. (THIS government has done nothing) The single sheet suggests that Americans “draw on the spirit of unity that prevailed in the immediate aftermath of the attacks.”
According to The New York Times, one official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said:
“The important theme is to show the world how much we realize that 9/11 — the attacks themselves and violent extremism writ large — is not ‘just about us.” (Yes, it IS just about us)
One significant theme in both sets of documents is that Americans must be prepared for another attack and must be resilient in recovering from the loss. Resilience is a repeated theme of the communications.
There is no doubt that the U.S. is treading carefully, especially in issuing the foreign guidelines. With negative opinions about America festering in foreign nations, the intention held within the text seems to indicate that the U.S. wants to avoid alienating others, especially those in Arab nations. The attempt to diminish the Al Qaeda also serves the political purposes of instilling a sense of victory both at home and abroad. (Maybe there will be another 9/11 on 9/11 and they will finish off the job in D.C. this time)

Near riot erupts at NY’s Playland. Police arrest 15 Muslims over dispute about headbags
Posted: August 31, 2011 Filed under: Islam in America Leave a comment »
A massive disturbance broke out at Playland Park in Westchester County, New York, Tuesday when a group of Muslim visitors grew angry over park rules forbidding the use of “headgear” on some of its rides. The headgear, in this instance, was the traditional Muslim head covering often called a hijab headbag worn by women.
The Blaze – Authorities from allegedly nine different agencies descended on the fun-park after county police responded to the disturbance, which by that time, involved some 30 to 40 people.
By 4:30 p.m., nearly two hours after the altercation broke out, some three dozen police cruisers blocked Playland’s entrance and a helicopter was seen flying overhead. A reporter allegedly counted roughly 60 cruisers on the scene from various agencies.
According to reports, twelve men and three women were arrested, mostly for disorderly conduct, and two park rangers were injured in the scuffle. So far two have been charged with felony assault after officials asserted they attacked park rangers.
Lohud reports that the group of Muslims were at Playland to celebrate the Islamic holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The outing was allegedly organized by the Muslim American Society of New York.
Playland spokesman Peter Tartaglia stated that park officials were clear in expressing to MASNY the safety reasons behind the headgear ban but said the rules might not have been communicated by the organizer to some of the attendees. The ban, implemented nearly four years ago, is intended to keep hats and other head coverings from falling onto the tracks and derailing rides. “It’s a safety issue on rides. If it’s a scarf, you could choke,” Tartaglia said.
Lohud explains what happened as the scene grew volatile:
Accounts of what had happened varied, but everyone agreed the dispute began after park-goers were told the headgear ban applied to women wearing traditional Muslim head coverings, known as hijabs.
Tartaglia said once word of that got out there were “a lot of unhappy people.”
He said park officials were in the process of arranging refunds when members of the Muslim group got into a scuffle with each other.
The two rangers, seasonal county police employees, were hurt trying to break it up, he said. He said one suffered an injured knee and the other an injured shoulder.
Lola Ali, 16, of Astoria said she had witnessed a group of girls and women wearing hijabs go to park security to confront them about the headgear issue.
She said the women were upset and yelling. She said the security officers started pushing them away and the girls stood their ground, at which point the security officers grabbed them, pushed them to the ground and handcuffed them.
Men within the park saw this and tried to intervene, Ali said, and the situation went downhill from there.
“They were beating down the girls then they started beating down the guys,” Ali claimed.
Earlier in the day a park employee reportedly told Journal News that a woman wearing a hijab either pushed or hit a ride operator who forbade her from wearing the head covering on the ride. The employee asserted that a police officer attempted to restrain the woman, but the woman’s husband took offense, at which point a multiple-person fight broke out.
The park was even closed off to new visitors for a period of time until the situation was diffused. Some of those involved in the incident, however, believe the amount of police response was overkill:
Ali and Gina Shibah of Yonkers said the amount of police response was unnecessary. “Sixty vehicles, it’s wasting our taxpayer dollars,” Ali Shibah said. Sal Mohumed of Brooklyn said he hoped for a refund for himself and his two cousins.
What is it with the media obsession of making Muslims the victims on 9/11?
Posted: August 30, 2011 Filed under: Islam in America Leave a comment »
Instead of stories about the real victims of 9/11 and the Muslims who caused the terrorist attacks, we are inundated with sob stories about the poor muslims in America who are experiencing a backlash of anti-muslim hatred. If there is a backlash, stories like this are the reason.
Mercury News As the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks approaches, the sadness and lingering horror is compounded by yet another emotion for the Bay Area’s Muslims and Arabs — and those who are mistaken for them: dread.
At a community meeting Saturday in Mountain View, civil rights leaders and local residents who described being targeted expressed fear that upcoming events could trigger another flare-up of backlash attacks. (I wish)
They spoke from experience — schoolchildren taunted for wearing religious head scarves (this is America, take the damn bag off your head and you won’t be taunted), workers discriminated against because of beards and turbans. And rights advocates warned that more incidents could soon be added to the growing tallies of post 9/11 hate crimes.
Sarah O’Neal, a Muslim who attends Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, told the packed audience in a senior center auditorium that she’d been called ”towel head.” (No, the proper word is baghead) Fellow students often asked if she had relatives in al-Qaida. And once she was lured by a schoolmate into the bathroom, where “Sarah O’Neal is a terrorist” was written in graffiti on the wall.
“I was confused because I didn’t know what it meant,” O’Neal, a junior, recalled. “What had I done to terrorize somebody? (You look like all the people who do terrorize people) Then I realized it was about ”Arabs, Sikhs, Indo-Americans — anybody with brown skin and facial hair” could be targeted, Honda said. (No, just muslims)
The event — hosted by state Assemblyman Paul Fong, D-Mountain View, and attended by numerous state and local officials such as San Jose police Chief Chris Moore — included more than three hours of testimony from Bay Area residents. The gathering was part of a national campaign to amplify ”unheard voices” of 9/11. (Oh please, we are sick to death of hearing the ever whining voices of Muslims. Shut up already)
“Our communities have been twice victimized by the attacks,” said Amardeep Singh, a director of programs for the New York and Fremont-based Sikh Coalition.
In the Bay Area, the (Terrorist Front Group CAIR) Council on American Islamic Relations has logged an average of 200 complaints a year from local residents, 24 in the last month alone.(Oh, boo hoo) CAIR representatives say most of the complaints involve “government harassment,” including FBI inquiries, immigration hassles and travelers being stopped in airports. (We are protecting ourselves from you, get it?) Still others report workplace harassment and school bullying. (Oh boo hoo)
Backlash spiked in the aftermath of the attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., said Maha
ElGenaidi, executive director of the San Jose-based Islamic Networks Group. (Of course it has increased. Keep pushing for sharia law in this country and you’ll see worse than a backlash)But it has increased again recently, she added, as conservatives mount a campaign to retake the White House — and some Americans continue to spread the false notion that President Barack Obama is Muslim. (Obama IS a muslim and the whole muslim world knows it, why don’t you?)
Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, D-Davis, reminded the audience that the post-9/11 climate has even turned deadly. Yamada — whose Japanese-American parents were interned during World War II — noted the shooting in March of two Sikh men in turbans on an afternoon stroll through Elk Grove. (Yeah, well, life’s tough if you wear a rag on your head. Take it off and act like an American)
“It’s such a shame that we have to live in fear as we approach these anniversaries,” Yamada said. While Sept. 11 should be a time to acknowledge the tragedy, she added, it should also be “a teaching moment that we are all Americans here.” (Muslims are NOT Americans. They are Muslims. Period)
[UPDATED] Awwww…..Muslim hotel employees upset at being barred from Israeli Delegation’s floor in D.C.
Posted: August 30, 2011 Filed under: CAIR Nazis Leave a comment »
Muslim employees of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington said they felt discriminated against after being barred over the weekend from floors where an Israeli delegation was staying, a Muslim ‘civil’ rights advocacy group (aka Terrorist Front Group CAIR) said.
Washington Post–One hotel worker whose duties involve going to all the hotel’s floors said he was preparing for his shift Friday when his supervisor told him to steer clear of the eighth and ninth floors, where Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and his delegation had booked rooms.
“I said, ‘Why?’â” said the worker, who is Muslim and wanted to remain unidentified to protect his job. He said his supervisor told him, “They’re Israelis there, and they don’t want no face-to-face with Muslims.”(That’s right, look at the location of this hotel, they don’t want to risk another Mumbai)
The hotel’s general manager, Amanda Hyndman, said the hotel rearranged some shifts and told some workers not to come in after a routine State Department background check found “irregularities” in the checks of 12 employees. (So why are they employed there in the first place?)
“We don’t know the reasons why,” Hyndman said, adding that not all the people on the list were Muslim. She said she did not know whether any Muslim employees were allowed to work on the eighth and ninth floors over the weekend.
After receiving a letter Tuesday from the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations, Hyndman said the hotel planned to investigate the incident. “We uphold our policies of anti-discrimination,” she said.
An official at the Israeli Embassy said that “as a policy, the embassy does not discuss the logistical arrangements for visiting Israeli officials.”
A State Department official said routine background checks are conducted on people who “may have access to, or be working in, the vicinity of the official we are protecting.” The official said that “at no time do these checks include questions regarding religious or political affiliation” (just terrorist connections) and that the same standards are applied for for all delegations.
CAIR Spokesterrorist, Ibrahim Hooper, said that the organization was waiting for a formal response from the hotel and that it might consider litigation. (SURPRISE, SURPRISE) “We need to determine what criteria were used to remove these people from their positions,” he said. “It’s of concern to us that there’s at least a perception that they were singled out because they were Muslim or Middle Eastern.” (Not a perception, a good reason why they were singled out. This Muslim asswipe should be in jail himself)
The one worker said that after he was barred from the floors in question, co-workers teased him about being a terrorist. “In the cafeteria, they were looking at me, laughing, saying: ‘Ah, they don’t want you there. They maybe think you have a bomb in your belly,’ said the worker, who came to the United States from Africa more than two decades ago.
He said he had worked in proximity to other VIPs, such as George W. Bush, with no security concerns.
“I don’t care about Israel. To me, it’s just another country,” he said. “I work for [the hotel] 12, 14 hours a day, and they profile me like I’m a criminal, like I’m going to harm them. I’m like, ‘If I’m going to harm them, why would you keep me in your hotel even one day?’ (Yes, why DO they keep you?)
In a similar case in 2004, a Muslim security guard at the Madison Hotel was told to stay away from the 10th floor while an Israeli delegation was there. In that case, the hotel’s general manager said the request was made by security units guarding the delegation.
Apparently, the CAIR thugs are making good on their threats to sue the hotel. And another reason why no business should ever hire a Muslim.
Daily Record A Muslim hotel valet at one of Washington’s most exclusive hotels has sued his employer, claiming he was barred from working on floors occupied last year by a visiting Israeli delegation.
Mohamed Arafi of Kensington filed the suit in federal court in Washington on Monday against the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Arafi says that his bosses prevented him from working on the 8th and 9th floors of the hotel back in December when those floors were occupied by an Israeli delegation. The lawsuit alleges that hotel supervisors unlawfully discriminated against Arafi by agreeing to an Israeli request that Muslims and Arabs be kept off the floors.
Arafi is a naturalized U.S. citizen and native of Morocco. He is also Muslim. (Reason enough to keep him away from Israelis)
EGYPT: The Obama-supported Arab Spring has nothing to do with freedom and democracy and everything to do with Islamic tyranny

Senior Official in Egyptian Islamic Jihad: If We Come to Power, We will Launch a Campaign of Islamic Conquests to Instate Shari’a Worldwide: ‘The Christian is Free to Worship His God in His Church, but if the Christians Make Problems for the Muslims, I Will Exterminate Them.’
“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Quran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” – Omar M. Ahmad, founder of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
MEMRI (H/T Maria) On August 13, 2011, the Egyptian daily Roz Al-Yousef published an interview[1] with Sheikh ‘Adel Shehato, a senior official in Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ), who, on March 23, 2011, was freed from prison in the wake of the Egyptian revolution. He was imprisoned in 1991 upon returning from a three-year sojourn in Afghanistan.
In the interview, Shehato expressed complete opposition to democracy “because it is not the faith of the Muslims, but the faith of the Jews and Christians.” He said that although the youth of the Arab revolutions have not declared the implementation of shari’a as one of their goals, the mujahideen nonetheless identify with their aspiration to overthrow the Arab rulers, whom they had always considered “infidels who must be killed because they do not rule according to the shari’a.” He added, however, that “once Allah’s law is applied, the role of the people will end and Allah will reign supreme.” He went on to say that although he supports Al-Qaeda’s ideology, shari’a law would not be enforced by violence but by da’wa (preaching), whereas violence would be used only against the infidel Arab rulers.
Shehato said that if the mujahideen came to power in Egypt, they would launch a campaign of Islamic conquests aimed at subjecting the entire world to Islamic rule. Muslim ambassadors would be appointed to each country, charged with calling upon them to join Islam willingly, but if the countries refused, war would be waged against them. He also described the nature of the Islamic state to be established in Egypt: there would be no trade or cultural ties with non-Muslims; tourist sites at the pyramids, the Sphinx, and Sharm Al-Sheikh would be shut down “because the tourists come [there] to drink alcohol and fornicate,” and all tourists wishing to visit Egypt would be required to comply with the conditions and laws of Islam; all art, painting, singing, dancing, and sculpture would be forbidden, and all culture would be purely Islamic.
The Term “Democracy” is Not in the Arab or Islamic Lexicon; Once Allah’s Law Reigns Supreme, the People’s Role will End
Q: “Do you support the uprising?”
Shehato: “…The [Egyptian] youth rose up for a certain ideal… They did not rise up in order to put the shari’a into practice, nor did they [complain] that Mubarak’s regime did not rule in accordance with the shari’a… As Muslims, we must believe that the Koran is our constitution, and that it is [therefore] impossible for us to institute a Western democratic regime. I oppose democracy because it is not the faith of the Muslims, but the faith of the Jews and Christians. Simply put, democracy means the rule of the people itself over itself… According to Islam, it is forbidden for people to rule and to legislate laws, as Allah alone is ruler. Allah did not hand down the term [democracy] as a form of rule, and it is completely absent from the Arab and Islamic lexicon…”
Q: “If you do not believe in the rule of the people, why did you go out to Al-Tahrir Square with the slogan ‘he People Wants to Implement the Shari’a?’ Are you exploiting democracy in order to achieve what you want [only] to then abolish [democracy]?”
Shehato: “I am not exploiting democracy, since I have never joined and will never join politics or party activity… We believe that implementation of the shari’a [must be accomplished] far from the political game, though some [other] Islamic streams are willing to participate [in this game] in order to achieve the same goal [i.e., implementation of the shari'a]. We said that ‘the people wants to implement the shari’a‘ because most of the people are Muslims, and also based on [our] reading of the situation on the ground. [At the same time,] we did not make demands for the people’s sake in the people’s name, but demanded the rule of Allah. And once Allah’s law is instated, the role of the people will end and Allah will reign supreme.”
Q: “How do you reconcile your opposition to the will of the people with the notion of shura [consultation] in Islam?”
Shehato: “‘Shura’ in Islam means that alongside the Muslim ruler, there is a steering council comprising the finest of the senior Muslim clerics, to be selected on the basis of their piety and political leadership [abilities]. But there is no consultation with commoners, such as workers and fallahin, nor is there consultation over issues that contravene the shari’a.”
“The Christian is Free to Worship His God in His Church, but if the Christians Make Problems for the Muslims, I Will Exterminate Them”
Q: “What solution is the EIJ suggesting [today], after the revolution?”
Shehato: “…We still espouse the old jihadi ideology that is today the ideology of Sheikh Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the late Sheikh Osama bin Laden, and Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi… If the revolution was meant to overthrow the tyrant Mubarak, then we have always said that all the Arab rulers, without exception, are infidels who must be killed because they do not rule according to the shari’a. They are apostate infidels, as opposed to infidels like the Jews and Christians, and anyone who doubts that they are infidels is an infidel [himself].”
Q: “But we Egyptians have never regarded the Christians as infidels. [In fact,] many of us have Christian friends even closer than our Muslim friends.”
Shehato: “As a Muslim, I must support the Muslim and oppose the Christian. If there is a Christian who does me no harm, I will maintain limited contact with him. Islam [discusses] certain degrees of contact with the Christian, namely: keeping promises [that were made him], dealing honestly with him, treating him kindly, and befriending him. The first three are allowed, but the fourth [i.e., befriending the Christian] is deemed dangerous, for it contravenes the verse that says, ‘O you who believe! Do not take my enemy and your enemy for friends: would you offer them love while they deny what has come to you of the truth’ [Koran 60:1]. It is inconceivable that they should serve in judiciary or executive posts, for instance in the army or the police.”
Q: “Are you against blowing up churches?”
Shehato: “Yes and no. The Christian is free to worship his god in his church, but if the Christians make problems for the Muslims, I will exterminate them. I am guided by the shari’a, and it stipulates that they must pay the jizya tax while in a state of humiliation…”
Q: “These positions of yours frighten us, as Egyptians.”
Shehato: “I will not act [in ways] that contradict my faith just in order to please the people… We say to the Christians, convert to Islam or pay the jizya, otherwise we will fight you. The shari’a is not based on [human] logic but on divine law. That is why we oppose universal, manmade constitutions.”
If the Muslims Rise to Power in Egypt, They Will Form Muslim Battalions to Enforce the Shari’a Worldwide
Q: “If you rise to power in Egypt, will you launch a campaign of Islamic conquest?”
Shehato: “Of course we will launch a campaign of Islamic conquest, throughout the world. As soon as the Muslims and Islam control Egypt and implement the shari’a [there], we will turn to the neighboring regions, [such as] Libya [to the west] and Sudan to the south. All the Muslims in the world who wish to see the shari’a implemented worldwide will join the Egyptian army in order to form Islamic battalions, whose task will be to bring about the victory of [our] faith. We hope that, with Allah’s help, Egypt will be the spark [that sets off this process]…”
Q: “You said that you endorse the ideology of Osama bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri. Does this mean that your way of implementing shari’a in Egypt will be through violence and war, like their [way]?”
Shehato: “No, we will implement the shari’a through da’wa [preaching], while violence will be directed only at the infidel Arab rulers. In their case, there is no choice but to use force, though the shari’a does not call it ‘violence’ but ‘jihad for the sake of Allah.’ There is no other way… because they have power and weapons…”
Q: “How will the foreign ministry [operate] in an Islamic state?”
Shehato: “There are Muslims and there are infidels. We will have ambassadors in every country. We want to call all other countries to join Islam, and that will be the task of the ambassadors. If [the countries] refuse, there will be war. We will not tolerate mutual trade and cultural ties with non-Muslims.”
“In the [Islamic] State, There will Be Only Islamic Culture”
Q: “If you rise to power, what will be your approach to tourism?”
Shehato: “There will be tourism for purposes of [medical] treatment, but the tourism sites of the pyramids, the Sphinx, and Sharm Al-Sheikh will be shut down, because my task [as a ruler] is to get people to serve Allah rather than [other] people [i.e., tourists]. No proud Muslim will ever be willing to live off tourism profits, because the tourists come [to Egypt] to drink alcohol and fornicate. [If they] want to come, they must comply with the conditions and laws of Islam. We will explain to them that, according to the shari’a, the pyramids are [the remains of] a pagan and polytheistic age.”
Q: “What will be the state of art and literature in such a state?”
Shehato: “In Islam, there is no such thing as art. Painting, singing, and dancing are forbidden. Therefore, in the [Islamic] state there will be nothing but Islamic culture, for I cannot teach [people] the infidel culture. As for literature, such as [the works] of Naguib Mahfouz, it is forbidden. Naguib Mahfouz was a criminal who stimulated [people's] desires and struck a severe blow to modesty. We will return to the decent culture of the Muslims and the Muslim forefathers, and to Islamic history.”
