On Thursday, the Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem (National Unity-NRP), David Hadari, arrived at the illegal building site in person to serve a court order to cease and desist. The action, undertaken to publicize the lax enforcement of the law against massive Arab illegal construction in East Jerusalem, was an object lesson that proved just how unequal enforcement of the law is against those building without permits in the city.
According to Hadari, “The last straw was this massive illegal construction on the extension of the Mount of Olives, with a mosque located only a few meters from the gravesites of Eliezer ben Yehuda, the reviver of the Hebrew language, Rav Tzvi Yehuda Kook, head of Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva and of Prime Minister Menachem Begin.
Hadari arrived holding the administrative cease and desist order which he handed to the construction workers. The workers ignored the order. Councilmen who arrived at the mosque said that the police and the government are responsible for not enforcing the order, and that the police are afraid to enforce the law in eastern Jerusalem, particularly against the contruction of a mosque.
Israel should have expelled every last Arab in 1948. Still not too late.
Elisha Peleg said that the government and law enforcement system should act against Imams and illegal mosques, as they seem to have the courage to do against rabbis.
Hadari said that unless work is stopped immediately, there are measures the municipality could employ, including the confiscation of equipment such as tractors and trucks. (Just blow it up already.)
The High Court recently decided to seal the synagogue which was being built by a private donor during the period of the building freeze at the El Matan North Samaria community, ignoring another illegal mosque being built nearby.

Clinton says the hardline group also must respect minority rights and the full inclusion of women in the political sphere.
The Brotherhood favors a regime guided by Islamic Sharia law and was outlawed under former strongman Hosni Mubarak. It also reportedly birthed the major terrorist group, Hamas.

Must be payback time for Netanyahu’s schooling of Barack Hussein Obama at the White House last month.
Yid With Lid - Only in the twisted world of the Obama Administration, where allies are trashed, and enemies are embraced, could the tiny nation of Israel, on the front lines of the war on terror for decades, be on a list of 36 nations which “have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations or their members.”
This is no joke. As reported by CNS News
The Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General published the list of “specially designated countries” as an appendix to an unclassified May 11 report–”Supervision of Aliens Commensurate With Risk“–that was publicly posted on the Internet. (The appendix is on page 18 of the document.)
As a matter of policy, according to the inspector general’s report, citizens of Israel and other “specially designated countries” are subjected to a special security screening called a “Third Agency Check” (TAC) when they are actually detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the division of the Department of Homeland Security responsible for enforcing the immigration laws.
ICE officers are supposed to check all aliens they take into custody against the Terrorist Watchlist, which includes the identities of individuals the U.S. government knows or reasonably suspects to be terrorists. When ICE holds a citizen from a “specially designated country” in its own detention facilities, according to the agency’s standing policy, the individual is also supposed to be run through a TAC.
OK lets get this straight. Based on new Department of Homeland Security procedures, illegal immigrants who are caught breaking the law will not be deported, but the Inspector General is no recommending that every Israeli that visits the US should be subject to special screening procedures. Wait! It gets crazier:
Even though the adminisration includes Israel among “specially designated countries” that it believes “have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations or their members,” ICE Spokeswoman Gillian Christensen told CNSNews.com that the U.S. also considers Israel, as well as some other countries on the “specially designated countries” list, as partners in the struggle against terrorism.
“The U.S. does not and never has considered Israel to have links to terrorism, but rather they are a partner in our efforts to combat global terrorism,” Christensen said in a written statement. “Countries may have been included on the list because of the backgrounds of arrestees, not because of the country’s government itself.”
OH Israelis will now be subject to extra screening because the country arrests terrorists.
The 35 countries plus the West Bank and Gaza that were on the proposed list discussed in the ICE memo uncovered by McClatchey in March 2008 almost exactly matches the “specially designated countries” on the list published by the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General on May 11, 2011. There are only two differences: North Korea was on the list proposed in 2008; it is not on the May 2011 list. Israel was not on the list proposed in 2008; it is on the May 2011 list.
Obama always says that despite his constant criticism of Israel, America will always have a special partnership with the Jewish State. Now we understand he means putting Israel on a “special” terrorism watch list.

Though it’s not exactly the dawn of a new Crusades, the stunning defeat of the Socialists in the recent election and the rise of right wing parties clearly demonstrates that anti-Muslim discourse has taken center stage.
The Vibe - The third most populated city of Catalonia (northeastern Spain) could be soon governed by a man who was brought to court for launching a controversial anti-Islam advertising campaign. His name is Xavier Garcia Albiol, and he is the leader of the right-wing People’s Party (PP) in the city of Badalona (near Barcelona).
It all started last year, when the party made the issue of immigration the focus of its campaign for the local elections that took place in May. Muslim Immigrants were directly associated to crime in a leaflet that said: “If I become mayor by 2011 I guarantee that (1) we will be able to walk the streets of the neighbourhood without fear of being harassed or robbed, and that (2) those who live in Badalona will have to adapt to our rules and customs.”
Many have argued that this was merely a response to local demands. Badalona is widely known across the country for its social tensions deriving from ethnic diversity. However, it is vital to underline that as a member of a mainstream and nation-wide political party Mr Albiol’s policies and campaigns required higher approval.
Further emphasis must also be placed on the fact that people voted for Garcia Albiol en-masse. The PP was the most voted party not only in Badalona, but also in most of Spain’s localities that held elections, as well as in the majority of its regions. In fact, these elections represented a political turning point because many regions that have traditionally supported Zapatero’s Workers Party (PSOE) have now been taken over by the PP. In the coming year, general elections are due to take place, and the socio-political scenario is unlikely to change.
While Badalona is the most recent example of how anti-Islam discourses gain support among Spaniards, it is not the only one. The case of Platform for Catalonia (PxC), a political party created in 2003, is also worth mentioning. The PxC is a self-proclaimed anti-immigration party, and as such it promoted pro-Spain values through the controversial TV commercial, PxC used for these last elections. The results showed that Platform for Catalonia increased its support basis by 500%, and it will now be part of the political sphere in some cities in Catalonia.
The new embodiment of xenophobia, Islamophobia, appears to be experiencing a moment of political effervescence in the West. Regardless of the fact that only a small minority of Muslim women cover up, the Islamic veil is not only becoming a matter of political controversy, but also an issue of social discussion across Europe as we have seen with the burqa ban.
The idea of ‘immigrants are abusing of our public welfare’ is now highly promoted by ultra right-wing parties as well as increasingly supported by citizens. Islamophobia, is thus experiencing a progressive growth, as can be seen in the last European elections in 2009, when many right-wing parties gained seats.

We have been clear and unambiguous from the beginning in our positions on immigration and Islamization. If we protest against the proposed mosque in Badalona is not by scratching a few votes for attempting to mislead the public or be concerned about the actual survey. Public spaces donated to the Islamic community is a discrimination against the Catalans who prefer the land to go to playgrounds, hospitals or public libraries.
The mosques are not only a place of prayer but for imposing social and political agendas.
The Muslim world does not distinguish between social, religious or political, and mosques become a hotbed of Islamism and radicalism.
Because Islam is incompatible with our European culture based on tolerance, freedom, democratic values and equality between men and women.
We have said loud and clear: we do not want mosques in our land. The Islamists will not pass!

Looks like Palestinian women aren’t the only ones with a growing obesity problem.
The increasing popularity of American junk food in the Gulf’s Arab states has caused an epidemic of diabetes with 27% of UAE citizens and 25% of Saudi citizens suffering from the disease. The expansion of fast food chains has also undermined the Arab boycott of Israel, as Arab governments collude with big business to allow companies 
like McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, KFC and Starbuck’s into the region. Even the Holy City of Mecca has two McDonald’s, a KFC and a Starbuck’s, amongst others.
The anti-Israel image machine has been doing a number on you for over 60 years. Today they would have you believe the Gazans are starving. The truth–as with most of what you hear about Israel–is the exact opposite. Indeed, palestinians (thanks to the American tax payer) are some of the fattest people on the Earth.
Would you like some fries with that! Gazans are just below Americans in their level of obesity. As you can see, the problem with Gaza is not a shortage of foodstuffs, but the lack of exercise. They are lazy. The blockade is legal under international law, and it does not prevent any food from entering Gaza, only weapons. Hamas is attempting to break the blockade so that they can rearm and continue pummeling Israel with rockets. The world is focused on Gaza only because the Arabs have oil, and the anti-Israel PR machine works 24/7, year after year on your cerebral cortex to turn your brain to mush and zombify you. If Perry hadn’t thought about running for president before, he’d be a fool not to think about it now, as the stable of Republican alternatives is full of lame horses.
Most Perry fans can be categorized in one of two camps. The first are ultra-conservatives of some ilk — either traditional evangelical, Christian-right voters or voters loosely associated with Tea Party values. They love their anti-Obama red meat, and they don’t like Washington. They’re attracted to Perry because nobody’s better than him at kicking Washington in the collective butt, and nobody does anti-Obama red meat better than gun-totin’, coyote-shootin’, states’ rights-toutin’ Rick Perry. (Sounds good to me)
The second pro-Perry camp consists of those voting their economic interests, and at first blush Perry might seem attractive. Texas, as the story goes, has led the nation in job creation, and as the story continues, it’s because Texas government is limited, pro-business and fosters economic development. (Sounds really good to me)
The problem for Perry, in the blinding light of the national stage, is that he may ultimately be seen as the swaggering rooster who believes the sun came up because of all that crowing. (But that’s OK for a community organizer who never held a real job in his life but sees himself as Messiah-like?) Texas was a conservative, small government, pro-business state long before he was in charge, and Texas will remain so long after he’s gone. Americans may conclude that Texas jobs would have materialized whether Perry was governor or not, and it might just be to Texas business’ credit, not Perry’s, that they did.
While Perry’s supporters will explain what he’s done for Texans, detractors will cite what Perry hasn’t done. Those celebrating him as the architect of our low-tax state would be forced to acknowledge that this is nothing new, and that Texas is also an extreme low-services state, with serious consequences for Texas families (especially illegal alien families).
Education? We’re 50th in the nation in kids with a high school diploma by age 25, and 43rd in high school graduation rates. We’re 42nd in the nation in high school graduates going to college, and of those, only half earn a degree within six years. (And that’s Perry’s problem? Not the notoriously left wing, everything America does is bad, self-esteem is a right whether it’s earned or not, Gays & Lesbians are good, Christians are bad, political correctness agenda promoting school administrators?)
Health care? We’re first in the nation in folks without health insurance and 49th in our low-income population covered by Medicaid. (And how many of those without health insurance are illegals? That’s a plus)
Relative wealth? We’re fourth in the nation on the percentage of our residents living below the poverty line. (see above)

I could go on, but the Legislative Study Group already has, and Perry and other Republicans in charge in Texas are currently wrapping up legislative work in which their policy priorities will assure that those measures worsen. (Even better!)
Electoral performance might lead others to believe that Perry would be the best standard-bearer to oppose Obama. Unlike Bush, Perry’s never lost an election, and he recently won a primary election in which he turned a 20-plus-percentage-point deficit into a 20-point win. But does what sells here sell everywhere? Since Texas has voted for the prevailing candidate in only two of the last five presidential elections, that is a dicey position at best. But back to Molly Ivins. Three months before she died, writing on Perry’s performance at a political debate, she reported that he had really good hair, and that the Democrat in the race had everything else. She concluded that “Perry won on the politics of it by not actually saying anything totally idiotic.” (Typical left wing politics of personal destruction)
That, my friends, is usually how a Republican wins an election in Texas — by not being the Democrat. It’s a mighty thin resume for a fat presidential race. (In 2012, anyone who is NOT OBAMA should win by a landslide)

JPOST - The non-binding resolution, sponsored by Democratic Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland and co-sponsored by 88 of the body’s 99 other senators, passed by unanimous accord. The measure declares that the Senate “will consider restrictions on aid to the Palestinian Authority should it persist in efforts to circumvent direct negotiations by turning to the United Nations or other international bodies.”
In addition, the resolution urges the Obama administration to consider suspending aid to the Palestinians in light of the recent unity government agreement between Fatah and Hamas. Should that deal be implemented, the resolution stated, current law would prohibit the flow of US monies to the new government unless all ministers accepted the right of Israel to exist and honored previous agreements between Israel and the PA.
The US House of Representatives is soon due to consider a similar resolution, proposed by Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland. It currently has 289 co-sponsors, or slightly more than half of the members of the House.

Blazing Cat Fur - Every Friday my daughter’s school cafeteria changes into a mosque as dozens of Muslim boys and their imams (Islamic preachers) lead Islamic ritual prayers and no one else can even walk through the cafeteria.
Some imams (Islamic preachers) come from the outside of the school and lead Muslim students in the Islamic prayer and this happens at the school Cafeteria after the lunch on Fridays. All other non-Muslims are in classes in the afternoon when they are using the cafeteria as mosque. There is a mosque nearby but the Muslim kids pray in the school
School administration take part preparing the Cafeteria and making it into mosque every Friday and no one but Muslims can use the Cafeteria during the Islamic prayers on Friday.
And there are a number of other incidents involving Islam and other anti-Christian issues that I complained about, including a white convert to Islam who was a supply teacher and who openly promoted Islam and bashed Christianity last year!”
“Mark, my other two kids also go to a different public primary school and the snack for all the kids in this primary school is all “Halal”. My wife complained about it and she was told she can prepare her own snack for our kids but the school would not drop the Halal menu for all the students. All the school kids in this primary school have to eat halal snacks whether they are Muslim or not”
Update: It is confirmed thanks to reader Munimula, the Valley Park Middle School cafeteria is turned into a mosque and a local Imam is brought in to lead the children in worshipping Allah: “Prayer Service, the school is providing a venue for the Muslim student’s to have prayers at school on Fridays. An Imam from the neighbouring mosque comes to our school and conducts the prayers. Prior to this, students signed out early on Friday afternoons to go to mosque. By staying at school, valuable instructional time is saved for our students.”
