One Million Muslims.org  was founded by several Muslims who feel that it is time for Muslims to resolve ourselves to never again be left unprepared for the big challenges that face us and our families and children such as the backlash following 9/11. (What backlash?)

Nothing made it more clear to us that the Muslim community had almost no understanding of what role we would play in the broader international scheme to demonize Muslims and Islam, and to portray Muslims as enemies of the United States and the West, (supposedly because we hate freedoms), than the most recent spate of Islamophobia that left several mosques destroyed and several Muslims subjected to violence. (CRAP, no mosque was destroyed and hate crimes against Muslims are 1/10 of what they are against Jews) There was no adequate Muslim response. Only condemnation and appeals to the government, and law enforcement to protect us. There was no plan of action that was pro-active and aimed disseminating the truth in response to the lies, or using the US courts to silence the illegal defamation, misrepresentation and hate speech.

Most of the success of the ill conceived scheme to demonize Islam resulted from the rush to judgment that took place following 9/11, and the failed 9/11 investigation which  wrongly concluded that Muslims had carried out criminal terrorist attacks on the US on September 11, 2001. (Wrongly concluded? Bastards, this event must be protested by a million REAL Americans)

TENNESSEE Senator proposes new state law that would make following Shari'a law a felony, punishable by 15 years in jail

It also claims that any adherence to Shari’a law – which includes religious practices like feet-washing and prayers – is treasonous. It would require the state attorney general to investigate Shari’a-compliant groups.

The bill claims that Shari’a law is a danger to homeland security. “The threat from Shari’a-based jihad and terrorism presents a real and present danger to the lawful governance of this state and to the peaceful enjoyment of citizenship by the residents of this state,” the bill reads.

State Senator Bill Ketron, R-Murfreesboro, introduced the bill, known as Senate Bill 1028, last week. A House version of the bill, House Bill 1353, was introduced by House Rep. Judd Matheny, R-Tullahoma.

It’s too soon to say how far the bill will progress. Ketron and Matheny filed the measure on Thursday, the deadline for bill introductions, and it has not yet been assigned a date for a hearing. The legislation would have to clear legislative
committees and win the support of both chambers and the governor before becoming law.

As leaders in the legislature, Ketron and Matheny would be well-placed to shepherd the measure through the General Assembly, but both have introduced an extensive slate of other bills.

A dozen other states are also considering anti-Shari’a law bills. Most would ban courts from citing Shari’a law. Oklahoma voters approved a referendum in November that banned Oklahoma courts from using Shari’a law in their rulings. A federal judge blocked the Oklahoma law from being implemented, pending a federal lawsuit claiming the law is unconstitutional.

In the spirit of Allen West, just days after stirring Muslim ire for ripping Islam as “the antithesis of the gospel of Christ,” Mike Huckabee again sharply critiqued the religion, telling an evangelical magazine that Muslims are receiving special treatment “at the expense of others” — apparently referring to Christians — and that is “un-American.”

In the interview with Christianity Today, Huckabee was asked about New York Rep. Peter King’s controversial plan to hold hearings in March on the alleged radicalization of American Muslims, and Huckabee responded by talking about concerns that Muslims wanted to “impose” the Islamic religious law code known as Sharia on Americans.

“We live in a country where people are free to be Muslim. They’re not free, however, to impose a Muslim law as if it were civil law,” Huckabee, a Baptist and former pastor, said. “If I were to say, okay, everyone must tithe to their local church, people would be outraged.”

Huckabee cited a story from 2007 when a campus of the University of Michigan installed foot baths to accommodate Muslim students — who comprised 10 percent of the student body — who wanted a safe facility to wash before their daily prayers. At least 18 other universities also have foot baths for Muslims and any others who want to use them.

“I don’t remember anyone ever accommodating me and saying we’re going to erect a cross so that we can make sure you’re comfortable when you walk across campus,” Huckabee said. “I find that the accommodation we’re making to one religion at the expense of the others is very un-American.”

Appearing on a Fox News show over the weekend, Huckabee also took aim at Islam as he criticized two Protestant churches that allowed Muslims to worship in their facilities when mosques in the area were too small or under construction.

“If the purpose of a church is to push forward the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then you have a Muslim group that says that Jesus Christ and all the people that follow him are a bunch of infidels who should be essentially obliterated, I have a hard time understanding that,” Huckabee, a Fox host, said while he was a guest on “Fox & Friends.” “I mean if a church is nothing more than a facility and a meeting place free for any and all viewpoints, without regard to what it is, then should the church be rented out to show adult movies on the weekend?”

Huckabee added that Islam “is the antithesis of the gospel of Christ.” A leading Islamic advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), called Huckabee’s remarks “inaccurate and offensive” and asked him to apologize. CAIR said it would also help arrange a meeting between the former Arkansas governor and Muslim leaders “to discuss growing Islamophobia in American society.”

Huckabee has not responded to either request. (Damn right, and he won’t if he’s smart)

UGH! 'Pray-In' held outside Rep. Peter King’s office ahead of hearings on radical Islam

Muslims, Self-hating Jews and Christians gathered outside Rep. King’s office to ask him to stop targeting Muslims and cancel hearings on what King calls the radicalization of Muslim-Americans. But American patriots who agree that the Muslim hearings are important for national security were also there.

CBS NEWS –“A bomb doesn’t differentiate between a Muslim and a non-Muslim. We are just as afraid of extremists as anybody else,” Seemi Ahmed said. (That’s right, but all the bombs are being set off by MUSLIMS)

About 200 noisy but peaceful protesters – split about evenly “for” and “against” – were watched by at least 30 police officers in Massapequa Park.

Opponents of the hearings — from all different faiths – had billed their event Tuesday as an interfaith “pray-in.” “We stand here outside Peter King’s office because we believe that singling out an entire community, such as Muslim-Americans, is un-American,” one demonstrator said. (Muslims ARE un-American)

Muslims fear the hearings will demonize peaceful members of their faith, those clearly against terrorism. (Who cares? ‘Peaceful Muslims’  share the same goals as radical Muslims, just different methods of achieving them)

“If you want to talk about terrorism or extremism it should be about everyone. Muslims are a part of the fabric of society,” said Saad Sheik of Valley Stream.

They’re urging the House Committee on Homeland Security chairman not to hold controversial hearings on what he calls the “radicalization” of some American Muslims.

King told 1010 WINS’ Mona Rivera that the hearings will go on as scheduled.

“I’m not going to cave in. The overwhelming majority of Muslims are outstanding people. (PC crap. How does he know this?) But the fact is there is a real threat coming from that community,” King said.

“But the fact is there was an element in that community that as in all communities is threatening the U.S. The difference is with this they are allied with an overseas enemy – al Qaeda.”

King points to homegrown terrorists like Faisal Shahzad, the man behind the failed Times Square bombing in May 2010, believed to have been financed by the Pakistani Taliban. In November 2009 at Fort Hood in Texas, American-born Muslim Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly killed 13 people in a shooting spree.

But King’s rationale is not sitting well with Muslims. (Who cares?)

“The nature of the investigation that representative King’s committee seeks to pursue has the potential of holding the Muslim community hostage to suspicion and fear mongering,” Rabbi Jerome Davidson said.(Another self-hating liberal Jew bastard who needs to have his throat cut by his Muslim  ’pals’)

(And this is a BAD thing because why? I think we should open up these hearings to investigate Communists again as well as Muslims. Starting with Barack Obama  - he fits both categories)

Protesters said the hearings, due to begin March 7, are nothing more than a witch hunt against Muslims.“We need to heal divisions not create more separation,” Sister Jean Clark said. (MORE separation from Muslims is exactly what we need – oceans of separation) Some protesters held up crosses or Muslim crescent symbols.

King supporters carried signs that read, “Don’t Tread on Me” and said the hearings will root out homegrown terrorists. “This war on terror is not some campaign overseas. It goes on today right here,” said Andy Sullivan of the group the “9/11 Hard Hats.”

“Congressman King is taking action on this. For people to call him Islama-phobe or bigot is ridiculous,” retired NYC firefighter Tim Brown added.
