Brits (gone mad) declare war on Stuxnet (Israel?) on behalf of Iran

The Stuxnet virus (widely believed to have been developed by Israel) which crippled Iran’s nuclear program has suddenly become the object of a British MI6 Secret Service campaign to convince the British and American public that it is the enemy of the West and sold on the black market to terrorists.

Even Obama isn’t stupid enough to go along with this. (At least, I don’t think so) Why doesn’t the UK just declare itself an Islamic state already?

DEBKA – Sky TV news led with a story claiming Stuxnet could attack any physical target dependent on computers. An unnamed Information Technology expert was quoted as saying enigmatically: “We have hard evidence that the virus is in the hands of bad guys (Israelis?)– we can’t say any more than that but these people are highly motivated and highly skilled with a lot of money behind them.”

No one in the broadcast identified the “bad guys,” disclosed where they operated or when they sold the virus to terrorists. Neither were their targets specified, even by a row of  computer and cyber-terrorism experts who appeared later on British television, all emphasizing how dangerous the virus was.

Debka’s intelligence sources note that none of the British reporters and experts found it necessary to mention that wherever Stuxnet was discovered outside Iran, such as India, China and Indonesia, it was dormant. Computer experts in those countries recommended leaving it in place as it  was harmless for computer programs and did not interfere with their operations. The fact is that the only place Stuxnet is alive and harmful is Iran – a fact ignored in the British reports.

Indeed, for the first time in the six months since Stuxnet partially disabled Iran’s nuclear reactor at Bushehr, Iran has found its first Western sympathizer, one who is willing to help defeat the malignant virus.

DEBKAfile’s sources note that the British campaign against Stuxnet was launched two days after Yukiya Amano, Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the IAEA, reported that Iran had briefly shut down its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz, apparently because of a Stuxnet assault on thousands of centrifuges. According to our Iranian sources, the plant had to be closed for six days, from November 16-22.

Our sources also reported that the virus raided Iranian military computer systems, forcing the cancellation of parts of its large-scale air defense drill in mid-November. Some of the systems used in the exercise started emitting wildly inaccurate data.

(And this is the really pathetic part) The ‘Hate Stuxnet’ campaign London launched Thursday carried three messages to Tehran:

1.  We were not complicit in the malworm’s invasion of your systems.

2.  We share your view that Stuxnet is very dangerous and must be fought and are prepared to cooperate in a joint program to destroy it.

3.  Britain will not line up behind the United States’ position in the nuclear talks to be resumed on Dec. 5 between Iran and the Six Powers (the five Permanent UN Security Council members + Germany). It will take a different position.

In the United States, meanwhile, DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report that Stuxnet’s reappearance against Iran’s nuclear program is hailed.  A number of American IT experts and journals specializing in cyber war have maintained of late that if the malworm is so successful against Iran, why not use it to disable North Korea’s nuclear program, especially the 2,000 centrifuges revealed on Nov. 20 to be operating at a new enrichment facility?

The popular American publication WIRED carried a headline on Monday, November 22, asking, “Could Stuxnet Mess With North Korea’s New Uranium Plant?” The article noted that some of the equipment North Korea was using for uranium enrichment was identical to Iranian apparatus and therefore perfect targets for the use of Stuxnet by American cyber experts.

Time for Israel to send a little Stuxnet to 10 Downing Street.

Russians are repulsed over Muslim slaughter of sheep in the streets of Moscow

Millions of Muslims celebrated the Eid al-Adha in Russia. By tradition, the faithful sacrifice a sheep. But the brutal Muslim slaughter is often done right on the pavement of Moscow streets, to the shock and outrage of non-Muslims.

In the North Caucasus, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan still, Muslim majority areas inhabited by Turks, the celebrations passed without incident. However, in places where people are predominantly Orthodox Christian, as in Moscow or St. Petersburg, which have recently experienced a strong Muslim migration, citizens have expressed their outrage at the slaughter of sheep in the middle of the streets.

Last year, the sacrifice of a sheep in a town square of Moscow outraged local residents. Since then, Muslim religious authorities have demanded that the rituals of the faithful are seen in the private area and that some discretion is used for the celebrations. Although no such incident has been reported this year, several complaints have been reported on the corpses of sheep being dragged through the streets, tied up at a bus stop or slaughtered in vans parked near the mosque.

In Tver , Muslims sacrifice an animal in front of a church located near the mosque. InVladivostok , the slaughters were held to a daycare. The importance of gatherings around mosques for prayer times also posed a problem. In Moscow, women were prevented from returning home or going to their work by men who refused them to pass next to them during prayer.

The more reasonable of the two communities are trying to find solutions that everyone can meet their own needs. Some Russian Christians have proposed building more mosques with enclosed courtyards. Muslims have suggested that the sacrifices take place outside the city, in spaces reserved for that purpose. But these attempts are discussed on internet forums between right-wing activists, who call for “cleansing cities of the Muslim scum” and Muslim extremists, who respond that “we must slit the throats of infidels bastards and not sheep. “

UK GUARDIAN- British-based men of Afghan origin are spending months at a time inAfghanistan fighting Nato forces before returning to the UK, the Guardian has learned. They also send money to the Taliban.

A Taliban fighter in Dhani-Ghorri in northern Afghanistan last month told the Guardian he lived most of the time in east London, but
came to Afghanistan for three months of the year for combat. ”I work as a minicab driver,” said the man, who has the rank of a mid-level Taliban commander. “I make good money there [in the UK], you know. But these people are my friends and my family and it’s my duty to come to fight the jihad with them.”

“There are many people like me in London,” he added. “We collect money for the jihad all year and come and fight if we can.” His older brother, a senior cleric or mawlawi who also fought in Dhani-Ghorri, lives in London as well.

Intelligence officials have long suspected that British Muslims travel to Afghanistan and Pakistan each year to train with extremist groups. (And yet they do nothing about it? How about stopping them from re-entering Britain?)

Last year it was reported that RAF spy planes operating in Helmand in southern Afghanistan had detected strong Yorkshire and Birmingham accents on fighters using radios and telephones. They apparently spoke the main Afghan languages of Dari and Pashtu, but lapsed into English when they were lost for the right words. The threat was deemed sufficiently serious that spy planes have patrolled British skies in the hope of picking up the same voice signatures of the fighters after their return to the UK. The dead body of an insurgent who had an Aston Villa tattoo has also been discovered in southern Afghanistan.

British military officials say there have been no recent reports of British Taliban in Helmand in southern Afghanistan and that the overwhelming majority of foreign fighters are Pakistanis. Not since John Walker Lindh, the so-called American Taliban, was captured in late 2001, has the US admitted to having successfully captured an insurgent from a western country.

A Taliban commander says the bulk of its funding comes from the UK, where dedicated fighters are ready to launch terrorist attacks upon his order.

“We are not like a government, we depend on individuals. We get donations from our Muslim brothers in Britain for Jihad. It is the duty of all Muslims to pay towards fighting Jihad. This is how we get our money and buy our weapons and carry on fighting.”
