"We are all Muslims," says Mayor Bloomberg to Ramadan Muslim audience

Now that Mayor ‘Dhimmi’ Bloomberg has sold his soul to the Muslims on behalf his financial interests* in the Middle East, he kicks the rest of America in the teeth just as his Muslim ‘brothers’ did on 9/11.

GatewayPundit Michael Bloomberg shamed those who oppose the Ground Zero Victory Mosque and told a Ramadan audience this week, “We are all Muslims.”

CNN reported:

We are now in the Islamic holy month of fasting called Ramadan, and Bloomberg hosted last night an annual iftar, or fast-breaking dinner, at Gracie Mansion.

In his his remarks, Bloomberg, who has previously supported the Park51 project in the name of both property rights and religious freedom, once again spoke truth to fear and hatred. He admitted that “there are people of good will on both sides of the debate.” He acknowledged that the World Trade Center site is “hallowed ground.” And he observed that “there are people of every faith–including, perhaps, some in this room–who are hoping that a compromise will end the debate.”

“But it won’t,” he said.

The community center can and must be built at the Park51 site, he said. Anything less would “compromise our commitment to fighting terror with freedom.”

Bloomberg brought home the point that the propaganda war now being waged on Islam in America threatens to undercut our counterinsurgency battle for “hearts and minds” in Iraq and Afghanistan.  “If we do not practice here at home what we preach abroad–if we do not lead by example–we undermine our soldiers,” he said. “We undermine our foreign policy objectives. And we undermine our national security.”

Bloomberg ended his talk by quoting some words from the embattled (LYING) Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf:

At an interfaith memorial service for the martyred journalist Daniel Pearl*, Imam Rauf said, ‘If to be a Jew means to say with all one’s heart, mind, and soul: Shma` Yisrael, Adonai Elohenu Adonai Ehad; Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One, not only today I am a Jew, I have always been one. But Daniel Pearl’s father opposes the mosque.

NY POST The father of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl says the Ground Zero mosque should be moved.

“Public reaction tells us that it is not the right time, and that it will create further animosity and division in this country,” Judea Pearl told the Jewish Telegraph Agency.

“If I were Mayor Bloomberg, I would reassert the right to build the mosque, but I would expend the same energy trying to convince them to put it somewhere else,” Pearl said.

They could appeal this to the Circuit Court if they so choose. This is probably not a dead issue.”

The board ruled the size of the building was not big enough to hold the number of SOMALI MUSLIMS who might worship at any given time.That never stopped them before

An overflow (non-Muslim) crowd filled the council chambers of City Hall Tuesday for the public hearing. More than 100 people were turned away because there was not enough room.  No Somalis attended the hearing.

The National– Spurred by a recent boom in sales in the region, Bloomberg is expanding its Dubai office into a regional hub, a move that will as much as quadruple its local staff over the next year.

Max Linnington, the company’s newly appointed regional head of Middle East and South Asia, announced the expansion today in advance of a panel discussion with economists and dignitaries in front of the Dubai International Financial Centre’s iconic The Gate building, where Bloomberg has had offices for two years.

“We are going to be bringing all the elements of what you would find in one of Bloomberg’s largest offices here in Dubai,” he said. The company has had a presence in Dubai for a decade. d.

The decision to expand was prompted by strong regional sales of its terminals. “The region for us has seen explosive growth,” he said. “For example, last year in the UAE, we grew our core business by 61 per cent. And already this year, we exceeded what we achieved in all of last year in the UAE. So we are selling a lot of Bloomberg terminals, basically.”

The company has also been developing an Islamic finance portal, which Mr Linnington said would be helped by having more people on the ground building relationships.

“Particularly since the meltdown of the western capitalist system, there has been an increasingly large focus on the virtues of Islamic finance,” he said. “Today, there is no one single provider of information that caters to the Islamic finance market. So by Bloomberg being here, we are in the process of building out an Islamic finance product. We are very confident that we can build a product that meets the needs of the market right now.”

The company services about 300,000 terminals worldwide, bringing in about US$5 billion (Dh18.37bn) in annual revenues, he said. It has news bureaus throughout the GCC, including in Bahrain and Kuwait, and is in the process of opening offices in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. A news bureau was also planned for Abu Dhabi, he said.

The new regional hub will cover the GCC, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

But while Bloomberg is boosting numbers in the Gulf, hundreds of media jobs are being made redundant in the US as the global financial crisis continues to take its toll on the media industry in the West. H/T Rod

While the group doesn’t have a licensed booth space to operate on the fairgrounds, it can still take advantage of the crowds. The group will be stationed outside gates 10 and 20. The group says the outreach effort in Minnesota has nothing to do with the proposed Islamic community center near Ground Zero in Manhattan, which has caused national controversy.(Riiiight!)

NYC: MUSLIM cabdriver attacked because of his religion

I predicted this yesterday. In response to a Muslim commenter who was defending the Victory Mosque, I said if they did not abandon this project, things would get bad for Muslims in this country.

NY DAILY NEWS A boozed-up bigot used a pocket knife to viciously slash an innocent cab driver in Manhattan – just because the driver was Muslim, police said Wednesday.

Michael Enright, 21, of upstate New York, was charged with felony attempted murder as a hate crime – among other crimes – after the sick attack on Ahmed Sharif, 43, Tuesday night.

Sharif, who was slashed in the throat, upper lip, arm and hand, said he believes the battle over the Ground Zero mosque has inflamed anti-Muslim sentiment in America.(Payback’s a bitch: (beheadings-graphic)

“I never feel this hopeless and insecure before,” the Queens man said in the statement. “Right now, the public sentiment is very serious (because of the Ground Zero mosque debate). All [taxi] drivers should be more careful.”

According to the Taxi Workers Alliance, Enright was friendly when he first got into the cab, asking Sharif where he was from, how long had he been in America and whether he was Muslim.

After his initial flurry of questions, Enright grew silent for several minutes before suddenly attacking the unsuspecting Sharif in Murray Hill, according to the union. Cops said Enright whipped out the knife from his multi-gadget Leatherman tool. He reached through the partially open plastic barrier separating the front seat from the back and repeatedly stabbed Sharif.

Sharif fought back in self defense and Enright fled the vehicle near 42nd St., according to the union. Sharif flagged down a cop along 42nd St. and the officer chased down Enright, according to the union spokeswoman, Bhairavi Desai.

In addition to the charge of attempted murder as a hate crime, cops booked Enright for assault with a weapon as a hate crime, harassment as a hate crime and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Sharif was treated at Bellevue hospital and released.
