California Tea Party will bring dogs to anti-mosque protest

Suddenly, I’m starting to love California! The Greater Los Angeles Area office of Terrorist Front Group  CAIR has denounced a planned anti-mosque protest by California Tea Party supporters who are being told to bring dogs to harass Muslim worshippers during a Friday congregational prayer.

CAIR-LA called on local officials and interfaith leaders to show support for the Islamic Center of Temecula Valley, the target of the July 30 protest by the Southwest Riverside County (SWRC) Tea Party group. The protest is in opposition to a proposal for a new mosque in the area.

An e-mail announcing the anti-mosque protest sent to area newspapers by “a leader of a conservative coalition that has been active with Republican and Tea Party functions” stated: “An Islamic Mosque is planned to be built in Temecula. Islam is not a religion. It is a worldwide political movement meant on domination of the world. And it is meant to subjugate all people under Islamic law … Islam treats women as second class people and they also hate dogs. Women are forbidden to sing and dogs are killed. We will not be submissive to Shariah Law. Tennessee was able to stop the mosque so bring your bibles, flags, signs, dogs and singing voice on Friday.”

“Californians of all faiths should repudiate those who would target a house of worship using tactics specifically designed to cause offense,” said CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush. (ISLAM OFFENDS AMERICANS) “National and state Tea Party leaders should explain why their movement has apparently deviated from its agenda on fiscal responsibility and limited government to the promotion of Islamophobia.” (It isn’t Islamophobia…oh,you know the rest)

Ayloush noted that many Muslims believe the saliva of dogs invalidates the ritual ablution (wudu) performed before prayer. For this reason, it has become a cultural norm for individuals not to have dogs in their houses.

In response to the planned protest, the Islamic Center of Temecula Valley released a statement that read in part: “It has come to our attention that a group of people are seeking to disrupt our prayer session on Friday, July 30. We are disheartened and saddened that a group of our neighbors seeks to disrespect and make our community feel unwelcome.” (You ARE unwelcome. Get out!)

Last week, CAIR called on Florida US Senate candidate Marco Rubio not to accept an invitation to take part in an Aug. 21 Tea Party rally featuring an extremist anti-Islam keynote speaker who stated that Muslims should not be allowed to hold public office, that an American Muslim “cannot be a loyal citizen” and that Islam is the “real enemy.”(Mind your own goddamn business and stop telling people what they can and cannot do)

I am so proud of these people. In the quiet little seaside town of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, people have educated themselves about Islam and the threat that such a terror-linked mosque would pose to the predominantly Russian Jewish community.

Brooklyn Tea Party activists issued an open letter to Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz, calling on the Sheepshead Bay politician to create obstacles for the proposed 2812 Voorhies Avenue mosque.

It’s NOT about zoning, it’s about Islam!

Re: Proposed Voorhies Mosque, Brooklyn, NY

You are undoubtedly aware of the controversy surrounding the proposed building of a mosque at 2812 Voorhies Avenue. Residents worry about the same parking issue for which you bravely stood up against developer’s plans to construct a nine-story, 115 foot tall building wedged between Sheepshead Bay Road and Avenue Z.[i] Along with abnormalities in the DOB, in regards to the Voorhies Mosque, the residents of your district also have extraordinary concerns.[ii]

According to the Anti-Defamation League, the developer of this Mosque, the Muslim American Society (MAS), “has a troubling history of associations with radical organizations and individuals that promote terrorism, anti-Semitism and reject Israel’s right to exist.”  Furthermore, “MAS-affiliated Web sites have featured articles advocating jihad and suicide martyrdom.” And the MAS is, “the leading American Muslim organization organizing anti-Israel activity in the U.S.” [iii] A major officer in the MAS called the Jews, “the primary historical and religious example of those who “take the wrong path.”[iv]

The Board and Standards and Appeals Chair, Meenakshi Srinivasan, has promised to render, “decisions that respect the character and context of neighborhoods.”[v] A large proportion of the residents on Voorhies are Jewish.  Having an organization that preaches hate against Jews move into the neighborhood would greatly disrupt the neighborhood character and quality of life for the current residents.

TENNESSEE: RON RAMSEY FOR GOVERNOR! Thinks freedom of religion should NOT apply to Islam

Asked about the “threat that’s invading our country from the Muslims,” Ramsey proclaimed his support for the Constitutional guarantee that “Congress shall make no law” when it comes to religion, but he thinks that “Islam, arguably, is less a faith than a cult.”

Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, currently running third in the state’s Republican gubernatorial primary race, says he’s not sure if Constitutional guarantees of freedom of religion apply to the followers of the world’s second-largest faith, Islam.

“Now, you could even argue whether being a Muslim is actually a religion, or is it a nationality, way of life, cult whatever you want to call it,” Ramsey said. “Now certainly we do protect our religions, but at the same time this is something we are going to have to face.”

The question, Ramsey mused, was related to the simmering topic of a new Muslim community center scheduled to be built in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Ramsey, like many conservatives weighing in on the debate proceeded to foment fears that Sharia saw would be practiced by Muslims there.

“Now, you know, I’m all about freedom of religion. I value the First Amendment as much as I value the Second Amendment as much as I value the Tenth Amendment and on and on and on,” he said. “But you cross the line when they try to start bringing Sharia Law here to the state of Tennessee — to the United States. We live under our Constitution and they live under our Constitution.”

The community center (and Republican Congressional candidate Lou Ann Zelenik’s merciless attacks on it) has become a hot topic in Tennessee, and it’s likely that the man in the audience was referring to the community center when he asked his question. But it’s also worth noting the question the man actually asked when considering Ramsey’s answer.

“We’ve got a threat that’s invading our country from the Muslims,” the man said. “What’s your stand?” Today, Ramsey gave me an answer to that question that channeled Sarah Palin’s Twitter feed.

“My concern is that far too much of Islam has come to resemble a violent political philosophy more than peace-loving religion,” he said in an email. “It’s time for American Muslims who love this country to publicly renounce violent jihadism and to drum those who seek to do America harm out of their faith community.” Talking Points Memo

ANTI-MOSQUE fever heats up on the 'Left' Coast

Leftie media loons are calling the planned protests against a proposed mega mosque in Temecula, CA, “a new tolerance for intolerance,” when in fact, it is the lefties who are tolerating a radically intolerant (Islamic) belief system that is incompatible with the freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

As the Islamic Center of Temecula Valley moves ahead with plans to build on a four-acre plot of vacant land near Temecula’s gentle hills and invading housing developments, plans for the new mosque have stirred hostility in this mostly conservative community in southwest Riverside County.

Along with increased traffic and noise, opponents fear the mosque would clash with Temecula’s rural atmosphere and, they say, possibly turn the community of 105,000 into a haven for Islamic extremists.

The pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, just across a cul-de-sac from the site of the mosque, said the two religions “mix like oil and water” and predicted a “confrontational atmosphere” if the project moves forward. “The Islamic foothold is not strong here, and we really don’t want to see their influence spread,” said Pastor Bill Rench.

“There is a concern with all the rumors you hear about sleeper cells and all that. Are we supposed to be complacent just because these people say it’s a religion of peace? Many others have said the same thing,” he said.

Leaders of the Islamic center were surprised by the level of criticism, especially from a few religious groups, saying their current makeshift mosque and Islamic community center have been in town for more than a decade and members always have felt welcome. “All of a sudden our neighbors wake up and they’re opposed to us building the Islamic center there, the mosque.” (Not all of a sudden, just since 9/11)

The design of the 24,943-square-foot mosque and center reflect a Mediterranean design seen in many Temecula neighborhoods, though the building will have traditional domes topped with crescent moons. The facility will be built in two stages, with the first limited to a 4,100-square-foot mosque to serve about 150 Muslim families living in Temecula, Murrieta and surrounding communities, Harmoush said. (Why do just 150 families need a 25,000 sq. ft. mosque?)

The proposal is expected to go before the Temecula Planning Commission in August, and city officials are reviewing the expected effect of the mosque on neighborhood traffic and noise levels and any other environmental concerns.

A petition opposing the new mosque is being circulated by a group called Concerned Community Citizens, and other politically active volunteers have started organizing a campaign against the facility.

Karen Fesini, who belongs to a Republican women’s group in the Temecula and Murrieta area, said she’s been making calls to warn her friends about the project. “They say they’re not radicals, but how do we know?”‘ said Fesini, 68.

“Right now we’re at war with the Taliban and the Muslims and our boys are over there fighting and dying for our freedom. What would it be like if they come home and found out we just let them in the front door?” LA TIMES
