THE ANTI-TERRORIST FENCE
The anti-terrorist Israel is building does NOT encircle the West Bank, like some people pretend. It just runs along the Israeli border. The West Bank has another border with Jordan.
Palestinian terrorism has forced Israel to build that protective fence.
The international organisation Doctors of the World has qualified the attacks by Palestinian terror organizations against Israelis as “crimes against humanity”. The report also concludes that “the Palestinian Authority cannot deny any responsibility, at least because of it’s ambiguous attitude towards those groups until now.”
The security fence is a passive means to stop Palestinian terrorists from reaching Israeli civilians. The fence does not constitute a border and it’s route is not final.
During the construction of the fence, 63 000 olive trees were displaced. The location of their re-planting was determined by their Palestinian owners.
- SUICIDE BOMBINGS BUILT THE FENCE
A section of the fence is made up of a cement wall. But that section is only 7 km long, on a tolal of 170 km ! And it is built on Israeli territory ! It was erected in an area where Palestinian snipers from Kalkilya and Tul Karem fire on cars passing on the Trans-Israel highway. This type of wall exists on European highways as a sound barrier.
The remaining 163 km of the security fence are made up of an electronic barrier, much like the one already in place around the Gaza Strip, and along the borders with Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.
No village is deprived of it’s water source. Each villager can continue to work as before. The fence is not an annexation of Palestinian territory. On the 170-km already built, only 1,6 % of the disputed territories have been affected. If Israel wanted to annex territories, it would be ridiculous to take such a small area.
Israel has created a compensation fund equivalent to 75-million dollars (Canadian). This sum is renewable every 5 years. But the majority of eligible Palestinians do not claim their compensation because of orders issued by the Palestinian Authority forbidding them to do so !
Israel did not want to build a fence, and resisted doing so for more than 35 years. It is building now because Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the other Palestinian terrorists have left Israel no choice. It is these groups who are to blame for the fence. Aamitiesquebec-israel
10 Points about Israel’s Security Barrier
The Security Fence is a result of Israel’s basic commitment to defend its citizens from terrorism emanating from the West Bank. Though still incomplete, it has already improved the ability of the Israeli security forces to prevent the infiltration of terrorists and criminal elements into Israel for the purpose of carrying out terrorist attacks or the smuggling of arms and explosives.
1. THE TERM, “WALL” IS NOT ACCURATE. Only 3% of the security barrier (in high risk areas) will be a wall. The remainder is a chain link fence.
2. THE FENCE HAS CUT TERRORISM BY 90%. Though not yet complete, the security fence has been successful in reducing terrorism in Israel by more than 90%.
3. THERE WAS NO FENCE between the West Bank and Israel prior to the campaign of violence launched by Palestinian terrorists against Israeli civilians in 2000. The fence is a direct response to this deadly wave of terrorism.
4. MANY NATIONS WORLD WIDE HAVE BUILT FENCES to separate from their neighbors for economic or security reasons. There are even numerous fences built on disputed land, including a Saudi fence begun in 2004 to cut off the smuggling of arms and people across the porous border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Some fences make good neighbors.
5. THERE ARE NO NATURAL BARRIERS between Israel and the West Bank, which has enabled the almost unhindered entry of terrorists into Israel in the past. A similar problem between Israel and Gaza has been solved, as a security fence there has proven highly effective in thwarting nearly all infiltration attempts from Gaza into Israel.
6. THE FENCE IS NO BERLIN WALL. Though some opponents of the fence attempt to liken Israel’s fence to the Berlin Wall, it is simply not so. The purpose of Israel’s fence, like many security fences around the world, is to keep potentially dangerous non-citizens out, not to keep people in as was the purpose of the Berlin wall.
7. THE SECURITY FENCE BASICALLY FOLLOWS THE “GREEN LINE” or 1949 Israel/Jordan Armistice Line. It deviates only to protect significant populations in existing Israeli communities close to the Green Line. These communities have been the frequent targets of terrorist attacks and need protection from this imminent threat.
8. THE FENCE PLACEMENT IS NOT A “LAND GRAB” OR FINAL BORDER. In fact, it was first conceived as a series of small barriers to stop terrorists in several high risk areas, but it soon became clear that a continuous barrier was needed to effectively keep terrorists from entering Israel. The fence can easily be (and in some cases has already been) moved. Peaceful negotiations will determine final borders.
9. ISRAEL’S GOVERNMENT AND COURTS REDUCED THE IMPACT OF THE FENCE on nearby Palestinian residents. In most cases the fence was built on publicly owned land. Where this proved impossible, Israel has paid compensation or rent to land owners and arranged special access to Palestinian farmers separated from parts of their land. Palestinians inconvenienced by the fence route have full and speedy recourse in Israeli courts and the fence has been rerouted in several places to accommodate these appeals.
10. MANY PALESTINIANS CONTINUE TO WORK AND CONDUCT BUSINESS IN ISRAEL. By halting terrorist infiltrations into Israel, the fence will put a stop to the need for closures between the territories and Israel that follow terrorist attacks, thus helping the Palestinian and Israeli economies in stabilizing the flow of labor and commerce. The fence has already resulted in fewer security checkpoints and roadblocks in the West Bank.

Zainab Shafia, 19, Sahar Shafia, 17, and Geeti Shafia, 13, were found dead last month along with Rona Amir Mohammed, 50, in a submerged car at a Rideau Canal lock near Kingston.
Parents Mohammad Shafia and Tooba Mohammad Yehya and their son Hamid Mohammad Shafia, 18, have each been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of conspiracy to murder, Insp. International Christian Concern (www.persecution.org) has learned that radical Muslims running a tea stall beat a Christian man to death for using a cup designated for Muslims on May 9. The young man, Ishtiaq Masih, had ordered tea at a roadside stall in Machharkay village, Punjab, Pakistan, after his bus made a rest stop.
When Ishtiaq went to pay for his tea, the owner noticed that he was wearing a necklace with a cross and grabbed him, calling for his employees to bring anything available to beat him for violating a sign posted on the stall warning non-Muslims to declare their religion before being served. Ishtiaq had not noticed the warning sign before ordering his tea.
The owner and 14 of his employees beat Ishtiaq with stones, iron rods and clubs, and stabbed him multiple times with kitchen knives as Ishtiaq pleaded for mercy. Ishtiaq’s family said that they immediately reported the incident to the police and filed a case against Ali. However, the murderers are still freely operating the tea stall. CHRISTIAN NEWS WIRE

ANKARA, In Turkey a young woman who had refused to marry a man was kidnapped by members of his family – who then tortured her, broke her arms and legs and killed her with blows to the head.
The victim, 19-year-old Nimet Gurbunar, was “guilty” of turning down the marriage proposal of 24-year-old Tayfun Sahin. His sister Fadime and one of his brothers, Sayfi, kidnapped the girl to convince her to accept the wedding. They started torturing her and, when the girl still refused, they started breaking her limbs one by one.
Despite the injuries the girl had already sustained – a newspaper writes – her suitor wanted to rape her as final act, but only abandoned the idea when he saw her bloodstained legs. Then, several blows to the head, probably with a bat, smashed the victim’s skull. AFGHANISTAN: TALIBAN savagely ATTACK MUSICIANS at wedding.
Taliban fighters beat musicians, shaved their heads and left them tied to trees overnight because they performed at an Afghan wedding, a village tribal chief said on Monday, a sign of the fighters’ growing influence.
“A party was going on when a group of Taliban grabbed five musicians and started beating them and smashing their musical instruments,” said Rahmatullah Khan, a head of Merke Khel village in the east of the country. ”The musicians were tied up with rope to trees last night and villagers found them in the morning when going out for prayers,” Khan said.
Khan said Taliban fighters shaved the heads of the musicians and made them take oaths in the presence of villagers that they would not sing or play music at weddings again.

Even Jordan doesn’t want the Palestinians, why should Israel?
Posted: July 23, 2009 Filed under: Islam and the Jews Leave a comment »Jordanian authorities have started revoking the citizenship of thousands of Palestinians living in Jordan to avoid a situation in which they would be “resettled” permanently in the kingdom.
*But the land that is now Jordan and the West Bank were the areas designated by the UN to be the Palestinian state in 1948. So the Arabs of Palestine and Israel rightly belong in Jordan, their designated state. Jordan is home to nearly 3.5 million Palestinians, including 1.8 million refugees who arrived after the 1948 war with Israel (because the Arabs told them to leave Israel, Israel did not kick them out). For the past 61 years these refugees have been forced to live in the 13 refugee camps scattered across the Jordanian kingdom.
The new measure has increased tensions between Jordanians and Palestinians, who make up around 70 percent of the kingdom’s population.
The tensions reached their peak over the weekend when tens of thousands of fans of Jordan’s Al-Faisali soccer team chanted slogans condemning Palestinians as traitors and collaborators with Israel. Al-Faisali was playing the rival Wihdat soccer team, made up of Jordanian-Palestinians, in the Jordanian town of Zarqa.
Anti-riot policemen had to interfere to stop the Jordanian fans from lynching the Wihdat team members and their fans, eyewitnesses reported. They said the Jordanian fans of Al-Faisali hurled empty bottles and fireworks at the Palestinian players and their supporters.
Reports in a number of Jordanian newspapers said that the Jordanian fans also chanted anti-Palestinian slogans and cursed Palestine, the PLO, Jerusalem and the Aksa Mosque. Prince Ali bin Hussein, chairman of Jordan’s National Football Association, strongly condemned the racist slurs chanted by Jordanian fans.

“Many Palestinians living in Jordan are convinced that the Jordanian authorities are trying to squeeze them out,” said Ismail Jaber, a West Bank lawyer who has been living in the kingdom for nearly 20 years. “There is growing discontent and uncertainty among Palestinians here.”
Several Jordanian government officials, they said, are convinced that Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman are secretly working toward turning Jordan into a Palestinian state. (No, it already is the Palestinian state. See above*)
The Jordanians have justified the latest measure by arguing that it’s aimed at avoiding a situation in which the Palestinians would ever be prevented from returning to their original homes inside Israel. (HAH!) JERUSALEM POST

Janet Napolitano appoints TERRORIST-SUPPORTER to key position in Homeland Security

Napolitano praised Alikhan and another appointee, David Heyman, for their “broad and impressive array of experience in national security, emergency preparedness and counter-terrorism.”The Greater Los Angeles Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, likewise praised the appointment of Alikhan. (Surprise, surprise)

Just 13 days prior to his appointment by Napolitano, Alikhan joined the Muslim Public Affairs Council, or MPAC, for a special fundraiser called “Be the Change” to support what the group calls its innovative leadership development programs. According to Discover the Networks, MPAC asserts the Hezbollah terrorist organization “could be called a liberation movement” and likens Hezbollah members to American “freedom fighters hundreds of years ago whom the British regarded as terrorists.”
Hezbollah distinguishes itself as second only to al-Qaida among terror groups responsible for killing the most Americans. It’s responsible for such deadly attacks as the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, which killed 299 servicemen, including 220 U.S. Marines.
This is not Napolitano’s first appointment with ties to terrorism supporters.
