Hypocrisy is the mother of all credibility problems, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has it in spades. While loudly complaining about the “unethical” treatment of animals by restaurant owners, grocers, farmers, scientists, anglers, and countless other Americans, the group has its own dirty little secret.
From July 1998 through the end of 2005, PETA killed over 14,400 dogs, cats, and other “companion animals” — at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters. That’s more than five defenseless animals every day. Not counting the dogs and cats PETA spayed and neutered, the group put to death over 90 percent of the animals it took in during 2005 alone. And its angel-of-death pattern shows no sign of changing.

There is no such thing as ISLAMOPHOBIA

Consider the actions of these Muslims in Australia just over a few weeks’ time. Then consider the silence of the Muslim community in condemning the brutality of their fellow Muslims.
On March 8, the night of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, police say a group of about 100 young Muslim men, allegedly members of a loose gang called MBM – Muslim Brotherhood Movement – moved through the centre of the city intimidating, harassing and beating bystanders.
On March 15, Abdul Darwiche was murdered, shot to death in a shopping centre in the latest hyper-violence involving two warring Lebanese Muslim clans. Police later arrested Darwiche’s brother, Michael, for driving around with a loaded pistol. A third brother, Adnan, appeared in the NSW Supreme Court three years ago to be sentenced for a double murder. He and his fellow accused, Nasaem El-Zeyat and Ramzi Aouad, laughed and joked, going out of their way to express their contempt for Australian law. After the three men were all given life sentences they shouted “God is great!” This was the same Adnan Darwiche who purchased rocket launchers stolen from the Australian Army, which have never been recovered.
Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly was caught in a video surveillance tape which shows this former mufti of Australia kicking in a door, then returning soon after in the company of police. Apparently he called police over vandalism which he committed, blaming others who are engaged in a power struggle at the mosque. Sheik Hilaly has been embroiled repeatedly in controversy and provocation, making numerous inflammatory remarks about Australia and Australians.

A few days later, yet another rape sentence was handed down to one of the K brothers, three of whom, during their various trials for gang rape, claimed they were victims of an anti-Muslim conspiracy. Between them, four K brothers have been convicted of gang-raping five girls. This sentencing followed closely on the conviction of seven Sydney schoolboys for the aggravated sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in a toilet block in Yagoona in 2007. According to police, the ring-leader was on his phone speaking in Arabic during the assaults and most or all of the boys are of Muslim background.
If this is so, these latest convictions produce a morbid tally of more than 30 young Muslim men involved in serious proven sexual assaults of non-Muslim girls in Sydney, involving the Skaf brothers, the K brothers, the E-M cousins, the Yagoona schoolboys and various others. Because sexual assault is the least reported crime (about 15 per cent of incidents are reported to police) this particular phenomenon was certainly much broader.
How to end hatred of Muslims.
Finally, there has been fatal violence between bikie gangs, accompanied by news that there has been an infusion of young Muslim men into the bikie culture. There is now warring between new gangs and traditional Anglo criminal gangs for control of the drug and protection markets. Gang leaders named Mahmoud and Hassan and Ismail have been prominent. Gangs like MBM, Notorious and Asesinoz have flaunted their ethnicity. Overtly racist videos have been posted on YouTube, such as the message that “Asesinoz is now targeting Aussies”, with an image of a vandalised Australian flag.
The events of the past week have been a variation on a theme police have been dealing with for years. It erupted spectacularly in 2005 when a self-styled “intifada” by armed Muslim men, travelling in convoys, staged numerous co-ordinated assaults across the eastern beach suburbs of Sydney. The attacks were in response to the most notorious case of anti-Muslim feeling in Australia, the Cronulla riot in December, 2005. The roots of this demonstration was the failure of the police, who for years had preferred to pretend the problem did not exist.
Given the abundant evidence of violent cause and fearful effect, the general charge of Islamophobia is an ideological fabrication.

A coalition of Muslim groups, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), has threatened to suspend outreach efforts with the FBI following news of the agency planting informants in California mosques. That the man under investigation has been charged with a host of crimes and allegedly was recorded discussing jihad is apparently irrelevant. According to the coalition, the FBI has lost the trust of Muslims by seeding mosques with “agents provocateurs.”
Putting aside the irony that CAIR might cut off the FBI after the FBI cut off CAIR, these events raise a vital question: to what degree have prominent Muslim groups assisted the FBI in keeping America safe? Indeed, history shows that CAIR has been less of a help than a hindrance.
A 2006 article by Daniel Pipes and Sharon Chadha demonstrates how “CAIR encourages law enforcement in its work — so long as it does not involve counterterrorism.” The authors quote the head of CAIR’s New York office complaining that the FBI is “pursuing suspects much more actively than it is searching for community partners.” Pipes and Chadha also recall CAIR’s “Muslim community safety kit” from 2003, which advised Muslims: “You have no obligation to talk to the FBI. … You do not have to permit them to enter your home. … Always have an attorney present when answering questions.” Then there is this nugget:
CAIR discourages Americans from improving their counterterrorism skills. Deedra Abboud, CAIR’s Arizona director, approves of police learning the Arabic language if that lowers the chances of cultural and linguistic misunderstandings. “However, if they’re learning it in order to better fight terrorism, that concerns me. Only because that assumes that the only fighting we have to do is among Arabic speakers.”
In addition to highlighting how CAIR uses its “sensitivity training” to foster hesitancy among security officials, Frank Gaffney points out another damning example: a document in which a local CAIR leader “describes how she limited the scope of a meeting FBI agents had with a Muslim doctor. She coached the latter to withhold information from FBI agents: ‘I advised him specifically not to address any questions relating to violence or terrorism.’”
Of course, CAIR’s uncooperative history pales in comparison to that of Abdul Alim Musa, a prominent imam in Washington, DC. Known for praising terrorists during an interview with Sean Hannity, Musa is also famous for a 2007 sermon entitled “How to Punk the FBI,” available online in separate parts, in which he refers to federal agents as “sissies” and instructs Muslims on “such ‘counter-harassment techniques’ as asking an interrogating agent if his mother bought him his shirt.” Furthermore, he accuses the FBI of causing strokes to silence black Muslim leaders.
At the time of that sermon and up until very recently, Musa sat on the governing body of the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) — one of the coalition members threatening to cut off contact with the FBI for allegedly disrespecting Muslims. Frank Gaffney says it best: with friends like these, the FBI needs no enemies.

Rebuffing Feingold’s attempted character assassination at the Senate hearing, and stating that the FBI has no intention of changing its policies in this area, FBI Director Mueller responded strongly, “I will say that we do not focus on institutions, we focus on individuals. And I will say generally if there is evidence or information as to individual or individuals undertaking illegal activities in religious institutions, with appropriate high-level approval, we would undertake investigative activities…”
Mr. Feingold’s cheap political gamesmanship and dhimmitude in this matter demonstrates that he, rather than serving the legitimate concerns of his Muslim constituents, has instead thrown in with the Islamist thugocracy whose interests are inimical to the national security needs of the United States, Israel and the West. So, a second one was scheduled for last Saturday, but it was cancelled because police didn’t want to ‘inflame the situation.’ It wasn’t the Patriots who inflamed the situation, it was the Muslim scum. The media and the leftists are calling the Patriots fascists because they want to support the troops.
The demonstration is rescheduled for April 23rd but I wouldn’t bet money on it coming off. Damn it, Great Britain, where is your soul, where is your courage, where is your dignity? You’re not looking very great anymore.

A police scheme has identified (at least) two hundred schoolchildren in Britain – some as young as 13 – as potential terrorists.
The programme aims to spot children who are vulnerable to Islamic radicalisation and was revealed by Sir Norman Bettison, the chief constable of West Yorkshire Police and Britain’s most senior officer in charge of terror prevention.

Sir Norman told The Independent: ‘What will often manifest itself is what might be regarded as racism and the adoption of bad attitudes towards “the West”. ‘One of the four bombers of July 7 was, on the face of it, a model student. He had never been in trouble with the police, was the son of a well-established family and was employed and integrated into society. ‘But when we went back to his teachers they remarked on the things he used to write. In exercise books he had written comments praising al-Qaeda.

‘That was not seen at the time as being substantive. Now we would hope that teachers might intervene, speak to the child’s family or perhaps the local imam who could then speak to the young man.
The Channel project currently operates in West Yorkshire, the Midlands, Bedfordshire and South Wales, after it was piloted in Lancashire and the London borough of Lambeth in 2007. It is due to be rolled out to the rest of London, Thames Valley, South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and West Sussex.

‘The challenge is to intervene and offer guidance, not necessarily prosecute them, but to address their grievance, their growing sense of hate and potential to do something violent in the name of some misinterpretation of a faith.

Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain said: ‘There is a difference between the police being concerned or believing a person may be at risk of recruitment and a person actually engaging in unlawful, terrorist activity. ‘That said, clearly in recent years some people have been lured by terrorist propaganda emanating from al-Qa’ida-inspired groups.

But Ismail Khan, a minister in Karzai’s cabinet and one of Afghanistan’s most influential figures, understands that there are no moderate Taliban with whom peace can be negotiated. Islamic terrorists only want to talk peace when they need more time to rearm.

The Obama administration is cutting the defense budget by 10%. The result will be to preclude much, if not virtually all, of the modernization that will be required to prepare the U.S. military to contend with tomorrow’s wars. Most of what the Pentagon spends goes to fixed – and growing – personnel-related costs (pay, bonuses, health care, etc.) and operations. As a result, at Obama funding levels, there will not be much available even to “reset” today’s forces by refurbishing the equipment they have been using up in present conflicts.
For good measure, Mr. Obama is mounting a frontal assault on the armed forces themselves. The President plans to repeal the law prohibiting homosexuals from serving in the military. It is absolutely predictable that significant numbers of servicemen and women – including many of the most experienced commissioned and non-commissioned officers – will retire rather than serve in conditions of forced intimacy with individuals who may find them sexually attractive. The effect will be to break the all-volunteer force.

BEIRUT: A Hezbollah member of Lebanon’s Parliament will hold a rare meeting with British parliamentarians in London this week, the militant group announced Saturday.
The visit follows an announcement by Britain’s Foreign Office last month that it has contacted Hezbollah’s political wing in an attempt to reach out to its legislators. It said its ultimate aim is to encourage the militant group to abandon violence and play a constructive political role in the deeply divided country. (HAH!)

A Hezbollah statement issued Saturday says Hussein Hajj Hassan was invited by a number of British legislators to take part in a political meeting of parliamentarians to discuss “regional issues.” It said he would be traveling to London on Sunday.
Britain’s Foreign Office confirmed he has been granted a restricted validity, singly entry visa for the purpose of the visit. A spokeswoman, speaking anonymously in line with government policy, said the decision “is consistent with the government’s policy of exploring contacts with members of Hezbollah’s political wing.”
Hezbollah officials told The Associated Press last month that they welcomed talks with Britain but insisted the talks take place publicly. The Foreign Office denied at the time that it had pursued any secret talks with Hezbollah.

Britain ceased contact with the group in 2005 and listed its military wing as a terrorist organization last year. Hezbollah became part of a unity government in Lebanon in May after violent street clashes in which its gunmen and their allies briefly took over large parts of Beirut.
The move, urged privately by British diplomats for some time, may be partially intended to encourage the US to follow suit as Barack Obama’s administration pursues a fresh approach of engagement with parties shunned by George Bush. That act of disobedience was seen as bringing dishonour on her whole family – a crime punishable by death. “I managed to escape. When I was at school, a few girls I knew were killed by their families in the name of honour – one of them for simply receiving a text message from a boy,” Elif said.
As Turkey cracks down on ‘honor killings’, women are now told to commit suicide. So-called “honour killings” in Turkey have reached record levels. According to government figures, there are more than 200 a year – half of all the murders committed in the country. Now, in a sinister twist, comes the emergence of “honour suicides”. The growing phenomenon has been linked to reforms to Turkey’s penal code in 2005. That introduced mandatory life sentences for honour killers, whereas in the past, killers could receive a reduced sentence claiming provocation. Soon after the law was passed, the numbers of female suicides started to rocket.
Ah yes, Muslim men, can’t live with’em, can’t kill ‘em. But isn’t Turkey the ‘secular’ Muslim nation that is petitioning for admittance into the EU? Yeah, this oughta make them a shoe-in.

UN RESOLUTION makes it illegal to criticize Islam
GENEVA (AP) — The U.N.’s top human-rights body approved a proposal backed by Muslims nations Thursday urging the passage of laws around the world protecting religion from criticism.
The proposal by Pakistan had drawn strong criticism from free-speech campaigners and liberal democracies.
A simple majority of 23 members of the 47-nation Human Rights Council voted in favor of the resolution. Eleven mostly Western nations opposed it and 13 countries abstained.
The resolution urges states to provide “protection against acts of hatred, discrimination, intimidation and coercion resulting from defamation of religions and incitement to religious hatred in general.”
“It is individuals who have rights and not religions,” said Canadian diplomat Terry Cormier. Canada’s criticism was echoed by European Union countries, all of which voted against the proposal.
The council is dominated by Muslim and African countries. Muslim nations have argued that religions, in particular Islam, must be shielded from criticism in the media and other areas of public life. They cited cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad as an example of unacceptable free speech.
“Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism,” the resolution said. (HAH!)
A coalition of more than 100 secular and faith groups had called on governments to oppose the resolution, warning that it could lead to accusations of defamation among different faiths.
The United States did not vote on the resolution because it is not a member of the council. The Bush administration announced it was virtually giving up on the body and would participate in debates only if absolutely necessary because of the council’s anti-Israel statements and its failure to act on abuses in Sudan and elsewhere. India, which normally votes along with the council’s majority of developing nations, abstained in protest at the fact that Islam was the only religion specifically named as deserving protection.
India’s Ambassador Gopinathan Achamkulangare said the resolution “inappropriately” linked religious criticism to racism.
